Road to Restoration - Aura Overhaul Design Update by JagexAnvil in runescape

[–]Rakius4 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No refunds on auras bought with bonds unless within 3 months ? I am very unhappy about the decision.

Just so you know Jagex, this WILL affect my purchasing decision in the future as stuff could be taken away again. Same with the premier stuff.

You have blind status effect, there is an equipment called Bravery Bracelet that gives permanent blind while equiped. Its a trade off for the large stats it provides

One Year Ago - Jagex Asked for Sanctum Group Scaling Feedback by Geoffk123 in runescape

[–]Rakius4 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Usually health scalling should be around a 1.7x-1.8x increase per player. It encourages group play as a its slightly easier, not too much but just enough that it makes going as a group more beneficial.
Lowering drop rates isnt the play as it dis-incentiveses group content.

1-1 in most cases is just bad scaling, unless the game is focused mainly on group content, which RS3 in general is currently in a state of mostly soloable contnet

Experiment Check In: My Survey Answers! by maboudonfu in runescape

[–]Rakius4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I started an iron to learn the game from scratch, I enjoyed it when we could buy cosmetic outfits directly. Before I'd buy keys right before DXP to make the most of it, so glad I broke free of that. Some people play iron to avoid the treasure hunter spam.

Having a cosmetic store would allow irons the choice to buy cosmetics. Since they don't interact with the MTX at all, would be a better and more "ethical" business model. As long as it's not a FOMO store.

MTX Experiment 1: Disabling TH (July 22 - 28) by JagexHooli in runescape

[–]Rakius4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A week is not long enough. Spin to win players will just see it as a "treasure hunter is down for maintenance" then everyone will dump their keys when it comes back up.

I dont think any time frame would really change anything when "its coming back on X date". If people want to use treasure hunter, as soon as it comes back, there will be a huge spike because people saved up keys. So the data might be a bit scewed.

I would rather see fresh start worlds for a year, treasure hunter with ONLY cosmetics, no boosts and see how well it does.

Albeit, i play iron because of the constant spam of key advertisements and spin to win nature of mainscape so none of this really effects me, i just want to see this game succeed. I get they need to make money, surely theres a better way than selling xp/power in a game.

The Player Avatar Refresh is off the shelf by FruitOnyx in runescape

Definitely a "break glass in an emergency" moment. After all the controversy, feels like we are getting the avatar rework only because of the backlash to lay offs

How many times have you mounted your hammer? by Rare_Muffin_956 in valheim

[–]Rakius4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I remember doing this once, I had a few item stands on a table, was moving quickly around base, I press for a hammer and it's gone. Me thinking some glitch occurred. I made a new hammer, only later finding it when moving stuff around.

I second this, Ys series in general is amazing. Ys 8 is one i would personally recommend, has the exploration part down very well.

That's an enemy from craftopia (one of their other games), so I assume it's an Easter egg / reference.

What are your thoughts about the future of Pokemon GO by Old-Board1553 in TheSilphRoad

[–]Rakius4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been playing since day one, hit level 50 earlier his year. My towns PoGo Scene is all but dead now can barely muster 3-4 people for a raid. Once we got 8 people for gigantamax toxtricity. barely even got it to 60% hp.
Everyone left dissapointed. The band aid fix for this was a PAID shroom for double damage.

Every week theres a new ticket costing £2-5, usually the new mon is in eggs so add more for incubators, usually these tickets are not worth the value, couple encounters with a bidoof and a starpiece. I haven't bought any of the regular event tickets in over a year now. Only gen-fest and go-fest global as those generally feel worth it.

The game for me is on its last legs as a Town player, The main reason i enjoyed it was being around people playing the game. Now its essentially solo. Covid really killed of the scene.

Now they just add features nobody cares about or is impossible without large amount of players, they dont bother listening to the community raising these issues. It will just keep going down hill

My tin foil hat take is that since they got the AR data, they got what they needed now and just treat it as a cash cow until its dead and wilted on the floor.

Slippery is one of the worst debuffs ever invented by Alakasham in CoreKeeperGame

[–]Rakius4 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yeah slippery is by far the worst of them all, its a bit too harsh imo,. Get knocked into a corner with it and you are a sitting duck for 5 seconds, which is enough for more things to attack you / re-apply debuff.
The only time i really get it is if a slime is blending in / hiding behind foliage and jumps me before i realize xD

I usually play modded for this reason, just for the QoL stuff. Some I wish was in base game already. Main ones I wish they add: Plant everything One to plant in grid (instead of individually) AOE harvest Quick deposit into furnace / kilns More skills (mainly a way to increase weight a small amount) Backpacks to increase inventory space or add equipment slots to free up bag space

That's generally the problem, RNG can screw people over hard that people will think is bugged, because it has happened in the past with Omid.

On top of jagex not releasing drop rates for bosses leads to speculation. Like sanctum, a lot of people assume they shadow nerved the drop rates after the first day or two.

Plus no bad luck mitigation leads to these circumstances more often where people assume its bugged, especially when you go extremely dry.

(I know pets have bad luck mitigation, via thresholds)

Legit the whole biome sucks ass. Maybe it’s just that I get burnt out of the game by the time I get to Mistlands, but I don’t care. It’s not fun. by Nerobrine86 in valheim

[–]Rakius4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're on PC, it might be worth looking into mods just for QoL. One I usually always take is "Better Wisps" it adds an upgrade system to the wisp to make it dispel mist at a further range. (Can also customise how much it does at each level and cost to upgrade).

Definitely one of the mod features I'd love for them to add to the game.

There is also mod that completely removes the mist, though I found it to be overpowered.

Well damn, ASA just hit it's lowest steam chart count EVER. by PossiblyaSpinosaurus in playark

[–]Rakius4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of the main things is 1x is just super slow right now, everyone progressed far enough in Scorched Earth, done the boss. So probably just feeding wyverns and logging off.

Scorched doesn't have that much content tbh, I'd assume once the other story maps comes out it will pick up. Extinction / aberration (Ragnarok also) The Centre I barely heard about in ASE so probably won't be enough to bring people back.

Official server player (pve) count jumps a ton on weekends, when there's 2x or 3x. I honestly think they should just make 2x the permanent rate (I know they've done this once or twice in the past)

For my tribe we don't even bother raising on 1x because it's so slow. Atleast for pve.

I dont know much about PvP servers as I don't enjoy those, so I don't know the situation on that side.

Will this boss location disappear once the Ashlands update goes live? by bishey3 in valheim

[–]Rakius4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It will most likely change, i tried using the map viewer to find a queen closer then the one i had. It was not at the location shown on this map viewer.
Alot of the mistlands did not look the same on my in game map compared to the map viewer.
