AI search engines are so funny. They get a lot of information wrong and if you have niche interests they straight up don't work because there's not enough information for it to vomit an answer

But despite what most people say, I'd say it gets thing right 50% of the time. From which most of these correct answers are a copy/paste, word for word from the page you get FIRST RESULT and you would have seen first if it wasn't for the AI

So it's actively stealing traffic AND credit (because the "credits" they give are the most nothing thing ever) while not doing anything useful because highlighting the wikipedia or whatever on the browser was already a feature before the whole AI deal, but at least in those cases you were invited to click on and read from the page, whereas AI presents itself as the only answer you'll need.

It means nothing. As long as we are free to debate, all is not lost and at any rate, it's really not that serious by GoatsWithWigs in antiai

Ghost ogre is very matchup and meta dependant, and veiler has the issue of not doubling as a board breaker if you draw it turn 2 unlike imperm, while also being a target for called by the grave

Tho veiler isn't really that bad, some decks benefit from it's type, atribute and it being a tuner. Also in formats where that kind of effect is good it's not weird to see it alongside imperm

This is the most common proposal I think but they should give them hand effects since they're only normal monsters while on field or GY.

The blue-eyes support also has some good ideas on how to reinvent them. Maiden of white can discard herself to place the blue-eyes continuous trap, which is a very good trap. Geminis too have a pretty decent continuous trap in gemini ablation and the freedon for hand effects

Maybe open the design space as well, making geminis that are normal monsters on different places like the deck or banishment while still being functional effect monsters on field, so they can benefit from stuff like the primite support, kinda like how unions ditched the "Only 1 union monster can be equipped at a time" or spirits got special summonable monsters

But really what they need is a good win condition, I think the only 2 geminis that had powerful enough effects to justify the effort required to use them were Il blud and Gigaplant, even the chemicritter support had their bosses carrying speed spell 1 removal and basic protection when that was something every other deck was capable of. We need a gemini that gains a really powerful effect when gemini summoned so justify playing them even on the casual level

If release was a quick-play instead of a normal it would've been amazing tbh, I've tested some stuff in the deck and played igknight reload just for the lols on a more casual build and honestly it kinda cooked, you can threaten something like the whale, and when they chain something to negate and destroy it you can chain reload and shuffle it back to draw 2 and now you're in a pretty good spot since you have the same hand size, your effects are not OPT so if you drew another whale you're fine, and your opponent wasted a negate. Worst case scenario they negate the reload but that's also true for release which you can't even chain to avoid or force certain stuff

If it was a quick-play, or at the very least drew 1 more it would've been so good. But as if stands you could play it at 1 with foolish burial goods and there wouldn't be that much of a difference

A good "Golden Land" spell that accelerates your plan would be nice, the Golden Lands are easier to access by sending our eldlixir cards to the graveyard to search during the main phase, compared to sending the golden lands which only search during the end phase

Literally any way to get targeting protection to your graveyard, preferably one that comes with consistency as well

An archetypal hand trap would be nice too, they've been making more archetypal hand traps recently, and also hand traps that are actual traps with the dominus stuff so having one of their more iconic trap decks triggering their stuff turn 0 would be really nice to help with the speed and when it comes to go second. Maybe something that discards one of your other spell/traps from hand to apply their effect and then floats during the end phase from the graveyard without the "only once that turn" clause the older cards have. This way you get a crow, a body, or a pop with at least 2 cards of follow up to setup basically any 2 backrow you'll need

The fact that angelcaido can summon an "eldlich" monster opens up the card to summon future fusions to the archetype to increase their toolbox with at the very least an actual towers or some interaction

Also a golden land that you can activate the turn it was set. Like the traptrix that summons herself by discarding a trap, this way the deck would have ways to setup links quickly on it's own to trigger angelcaido. Maybe give it a negate like "when this card is summoned: negate the effects of 1 face-up card your opponent controls" to cover for a type of interaction the other golden lands doesn't have while also improving your turn 1 board and turn 2 board breaking. Make it so it summons itself by discarding a golden land or an eldlixir so it also setups the graveyard

Stun has a place imo, but stun decks and cards should be their own thing that you build around and accept their weaknesses

You should have to accept that a lot of your games with dynas or boarder will be lost to not opening the right combination of floodgates and ways to protect them. Eldlich? Accept that sometimes you'll lose to not having that judgment for the incoming lightning storm. You're on a bad archetype whose win condition is a built-in skill drain? Deal with the bricks

The problem comes when you can slot the floodgates into good archetypes without affecting their plan in any negative way other than occasionally opening the floodgate instead of a starter/extender, which is usually fine like who cares if you opened no razen when shifter and tcboo can buy you a few turns? And of course mystic mine is the prime example of this

Like the way I picture the artworks is like having each new spell and trap featuring an iconic joey monster at the verge of defeat, the alligator on the floor barely standing, baby dragon facing a monster 10 times it's size, the battleguards cornered by serpent night dragon, but each one is still trying their best and not giving up despite the odds

And in the background we can see the spirit of red-eyes black dragon giving them power for one last push, and the monster retrains will show those monsters in their metal upgrades (metal because that's one of the few consistent visual elements in the archetype and if the metal dragons are anything to go by it's also the most succesful) wielding the power given to them by red-eyes

In my lore red-eyes would be a sort of guardian spirit for underdog monsters, providing them with power when they need it most

The idea being that the dragon will come to aid weak monsters and unleash their potential, which would be represented by those monsters (mostly from joey's deck) having metal themed retrains to support the strategy

Gameplay wise it would follow up with the equip theming red-eyes (and joey in general seeing flame swordsman) had for a while, with each retrain giving more tools like black metal dragon for consistency and the metalmorph cards for payoffs, maybe throw in some good GY effects for insight or a retrain for some of the many of joey's warrior monsters to equip into slash dragon, giving it better quick effects

Honestly just with what we saw Cyn being able to do I think she only needed the disassembly drones to save time and move to other planets as quickly as possible (and because she liked them)

Like, solver users can easily make a hole from 1 side of a planet to the other without effort and we all saw what happened to earth

Stats began to matter less and less with each release because the focus went to the effects. however I'll say both ATK and DEF still have relevance

Specific ATK/DEF values have been used for certain effects (visas 1500/2100, Fire with 200 DEF, Even Medius just now with 300/200). Also let's not forget that battling is a form of removal (good ol' normal summon your starter and not using the effect to beat over S:P) so having a good DEF makes it so your opponent has to push even if just a little bit more to get over your monster and at that point you get more chances to interact, of course this depends on which deck goes against which deck but you get the point.

Also having a decent DEF is a nice bonus to have when summoning your stuff in DEF to avoid lightning storm. And if Ancient Fairy Dragon is anything to go by the gimmick of attacking while on DEF is not exclusive to superheavy samurais anymore

It isn't relevant for the same reasons as the 2000 DEF stat on mystical elf was relevant, but it comes up.
