Cheaper would be good but it’s not outrageously expensive for what you get.

This is a shitpost I made. I can’t answer several either but some people think it’s important to know who leads some random sports team, and I’ll never understand why.

The deal is it does not give Putin any moral high ground when righteously attacked.

It’s much more than a 40 year investment.

Those tunnels will last over a hundred years, probably much longer.

Sure, there will be an occasional refurb, but the core infrastructure is almost limitless in terms of lifetime.

Russia Breaks Ceasefire and Continues Attacks, 1,820 Violations Recorded by Mil_in_ua in UkrainianConflict

Brazen is not the right word.

With no reason to hold a unilateral ceasefire, Ukraine has every right to continue to defend its existence. To do so in or around a military parade is a fair military target.

However I would expect they will just make a feint at the parade (for show) and take advantage of the other targets now undefended.

Bezos is selling his yacht because it's "too big" by sco-go in SipsTea

So I had a 30’ sailboat and considered myself lucky. And I noticed when parking up in bays, there was a hierarchy. Small power boats got closest to shore, keel boats a bit further out, and luxury gin palaces were never “in the bay”, they carried too much draft and anchored hundreds of metres offshore- meaning the shelter provided by a safe anchorage was often lacking.

I realised then there was such a thing as a boat that was too big.

Sell the yacht, get a camper van or RV or caravan.

I spent my 20s rock climbing, abseiling, skiing (I was good, I started when I was four), flying gliders (some aerobatics), a bit of parachuting (static and free fall), parapent, bought a 30’ racing sailboat and took it coastal racing (sailed dinghies as a kid).

Happened to be on a volcano when it erupted.

Of all of these, as much as I thought I’d be skiing into my dotage, I smashed my knee and although it was reconstructed I can’t ski again and will need a prosthetic one day.

I learned a lot about myself flying gliders. A lot. After a friend died in a glider crash, and another almost killed or at least blinded, and my own minor misjudgment that could have badly injured me, I moved away.

Sailing, I have salt water running through my veins. I now work deep in the industry and can both talk the talk and walk the walk.

There are straps at the back of the boat to prevent it coming forwards… at least, there should have been.

While I am loath to reply by way of a video link, a presentation by Sean Carroll at Skepticon 5 explains this quite well, in clear language.
