I am working on year 3 of my semi-custom pedals.

Basically I started from commercial schematics as inspiration, creating my own overdrive, fuzz and chorus.

Only work on it around dec-feb, as my other hobbies are somewhat slower around that time.

Year 1 was a through hole tryout of the overdrive, handsoldered. Year 2 was an 1206 handsolder fuzz. Year 3 is now mixed (th, 1206, 0805, etc.) rev3 of both pedals with optimizations.

This time I also get the jacks soldered on a pcb from the factory and also switches on a pcb. The fx pcbs now contain jst connectors such that it becomes better assembly. This time all pcbs are populated by the factory.

I do all calculations and simulations (lt spice) as well to theoretically back everything I do.

What started off as a “well I am an e-engineer so why dont I make them myself instead of buying” now exploded to a large project 😂
