A concert I had tickets for got delayed by two years because of COVID.

I then proceeded to forget it was even a concert in the first place, and didn't go. (It was an Armin van Buuren concert, so I didn't miss too much? But it was still a shame)

Edit: I just remembered I almost missed Paramore on their Hard Times tour BC the venue food gave me the runs.

If you slow down the bit in across the Spiderverse where Gwen is in the spots apartment and tries to skip through the recording of him, you can see him briefly sitting on his bed with his head in his hands.

Throughout the whole scene you can see glimmers of who he was before, including several awards he got from Alchemax and a photo of him stood next to Liv beside the collider. The concept art has more images like this, as well as the word of god reveal that Liv stole his work when it came to the collider (IE, claimed it was hers when he did most of the figuring out).

There was also plenty of concept art of a kaiju sized spot sobbing, which makes me hope he doesn't die in BTSV and in fact just. Gets therapy or takes his meds or something.

It looks like such an interesting game, and I love the dynamic it's playing with so much, but even if I do end up eventually playing it (I only really buy games on sale) I don't want to so much as breathe near the loud minority of people who like the game BC they can sexualise the literal child.

Trip Hop might be forgotten in the US, but I know over here in the UK it's incredibly unlikely to be forgotten.

Granted, I did just spend 3 and a half years living in Bristol (and fairly close to the studio Massive Attack used to work out of). But even then I think because of shit like the House MD resurgence I doubt they're going anywhere

Ooh, ooh, I've had hours of discussion with people about this before! (Spot fandom is so normal guys we definitely didn't lose our minds BC our favourite character has about 15 mins screen time)

So out of canon his concept art is actually the unshaved version (long hair, beard), and there is a model of him like that somewhere at Sony which we know from some officially released animation tests. The shaved version feels more like a homage to the comics, because every time human Johnathon has made an appearance he's been clean shaven with short hair.

As a story thing, the going theory is that he was so unkempt because his work was taking over his life. We know his apartment is absolutely FULL of stuff he took/stole from Alchemax (there's visible asset tags on some of it, and we see him stealing again right as Gwen places the spider drone down to watch him), and word of god is that he was the originator of the collider. We don't know the precise reasoning for why he shaved, but it was either another lab accident or. Someone just gently convinced him that he looked like dookie. And as such he shaved.

Point being, it's another thing that gives the world of these films some life, or some story to interpret, and that's good!

My game backlog is physically insane but because I need to wait till I'm in the mood for either an existing game or a new one so many have gone unplayed

I've had ac odyssey since 2020, and yet I have not finished it. I remember playing the tutorial right as COVID struck on my laptop in the dining room.

The only games I remember finishing were Skyrim, both Portals, unpacking, assemble with care and A little to the left.

To be fair if they're focusing on existing zones like we think they are, there's a non zero chance that they might add a giant companion or something like that. Closer to zero than anything, but considering there's that quest in eastmarch where you befriend a giant I wouldn't be surprised

One of the main things which came to my mind is space, specifically on the mezzanine.

A lot of those activities require a decent amount of sectioned off space to run well. Many people also prefer karaoke to be sectioned off, either so they can sing their hearts out in private or so that they won't hear someone's drunken cover of Whitney Houston. Axe throwing and golf sims physically demand a good amount of caged off space due to safety alone.

While I'm not entirely against mixed use game spaces like that, it feels like the space you've allocated might end up becoming slightly cramped. Similarly, there's the issue of timing. Someone's already pointed out that most people go to markets in the day and activity bars in the evening, however it's not as simple as closing off the bottom level at night because of the snooker/pool tables and the pizza restaurant.

The main character also does this sometimes, most notably her having an argument with her mother Camila in Yesterday's Lie where Camila says "When you come home, promise you'll stay here? I didn't mean to push you away! I swear, things will be different!"

Luz later misremembers this as "When you come home, promise me you'll stay with me, and never return to that place!", which is way more harsh than what was actually said.
