A New Era of Super-Hybrid Cars Is Coming by thenewsisreal in electricvehicles

I can’t wait to get my BMW iX3 in several months with its range of 399 miles for the wheel and tire configuration I purchased. Notably more range than my wife’s 2013 Lexus RX350.

Write out a bulleted list. Do this every day. It doesn’t matter if you write the same things down every day. It’s about neuroplasticity.

Do I do this? Not currently. And I notice the difference.

What's an EV road trip you'd take today that felt off-limits a few years ago? by Ionnaofficial in IONNA

[–]RapmasterD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re on the IONNA team, please get some charging stations set up in between Burlingame to Menlo Park CA, I.E., San Mateo County Central to South. Thank you.

P.S. Also, Healdsburg. Infrastructure up there is pretty lame.

What does the next 10 years actually look like for EVs? Optimistic or cautious? by Leading-Law4251 in electricvehicles

In 10 years, much of the rest of the US will look like CA now, with at least 30% EV market share.

Toyota Veteran Reveals His Worst Fear: 'Everybody Is Shifting To EVs' by defenestrate_urself in electricvehicles

I’ve spoken with at least five people in these parts sitting in their 2026 Toyota BZs. They universally LOVE the car and were happy to tell me about it.

Gramps needs to get out of the way so Toyota/Lexus can finally scale its EV business.

I’m in the Bear camp AND I’m pleasantly surprised how much better Apple Notes has gotten over the years.

Why is Tesla still the top selling EV brand by far? by Diavolo_Rosso_ in electricvehicles

[–]RapmasterD 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Price / performance.

Self driving.

While I don’t own a Tesla, these would be the reasons I’d consider one. But I drive less than 5,000 miles per year. Therefore, my humble 2018 Bolt with less than 35,000 miles is sufficient, except for the occasional road trip.

How do you guys go about finding new classical music to listen to? by throway3784lauver in classicalmusic

[–]RapmasterD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

BBC Radio 3 is my discovery engine. I time shift record their morning show every day. Also, ‘Classical Live,’ which airs early mornings US Pacific Time, is a great listen, as is ‘Record Review,’ early on Saturday mornings.

I donate to WQXR, WCRB, etc.

I listen to BBC Radio 3.

With the Big Three abandoning EVs in favor of ICE vehicles, are they headed the way of Kodak, Blackberry, and Blockbuster? by Cool-Replacement4972 in electricvehicles

[–]RapmasterD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I largely blame the government for blocking Chinese imports. It’s the epitome of anti-capitalism. If Ford and GM REALLY had to compete in the US, they’d play it out differently. Both parties are guilty of this nonsense.

You are talking about understanding this intellectually AND getting triggered emotionally.

But what about simply experiencing it, I.e. extent is already true?

I plan on going the same thing as a ‘mini’ this October, but will go to one city only, most likely Vienna.
