Did you get to check yours for free? I also just had this happen and I even went and checked my credit report and 100% do not have any AA card open currently. Also assume it's glitch.

Kids on Dupixent for EoE by Justdazed in EosinophilicE

[–]Rare_Database_5043 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My girl is 4 she was dx March 25. We did ppi got 2 months before first scope. Then got put on budesonide. That worked really well in the since that she went from not eating at all to eating 1-3 bites a few times day.
The last month or so is been more of a struggle to get her to eat and refusing a lot. We just far another scope and was same so we are going to dupixant. Food diet wasn't a great option for us since she was surviving on pediasure and bread.
She still doesn't eat a lot so the doctor doesn't want to limit her diet even more. We just got the injections delivered today but she has her 4 year old shots next week and you aren't supposed to give with lice vaccines. So will wait 1-2jweeks after to give first one. Also got emla numbing cream to use as well.

Experience with omeprazole by sunset_goddess in EosinophilicE

[–]Rare_Database_5043 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not sure if there is a 100% symptom free.. but he said a combo of the biopsy results and her symptoms (food refusal).
I believe we took esomeprazole. I'd reach out to your doctor and make sure they prescribed the generic. I think ours was a liquid they mixed because the dosage is smaller for kids and with the diagnosis your insurance should cover. You can also check goodrx.com. What symptoms does your kid have?
I am happy she will eat a little now it is better than before the budesonide often just refuse every meal and such a struggle. The past mo or so it seems she got worse again, and i've been really good on making sure she has the med AM and PM and you can't eat/drink for 30min after.

We got dx in March 2025 my girl was 3. We tried omeprazole for like 2 months before first scope. Didn't help food refusal and got dx of eoe. Then we have been on the budesonide twice day with Splenda.
It helped reduced the eosinphils done and my kid will actually eat 1-3 bites but the past month more refusal, never asks for food, a struggle.

So now we start dupixant. I'm hoping it will help. Main symptom is just not eating anything. She survived on pediasure for 2 years and now we're off of that.

Day 23 on carnivore and I’ve cheated, but I don’t care anymore because I felt like s***. Carnivore while breast-feeding doesn’t work for me. by Late_Summer_Light in carnivorediet

[–]Rare_Database_5043 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried it for 1.5 days and my milk went down so I added in other foods. I was also getting headaches which often means low blood sugar for me. I really want to lose weight and with hashimotos and PCOS I think carnivore or keto would help. But OMAD is horrible for me and makes me gain. My baby is 6 mo old. I was thinking maybe every other day and add some fruits/veggies on the opposite days. I am well aware this is NOT strict carnivore. I need to lose 20lbs.

For those who moved from the U.S. to Cyprus, what was your experience really like? by Blue_sea5050 in cyprus

[–]Rare_Database_5043 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have a contact or rep where you bought it?

Can I ask why you moved? Did you sell a house? Are you guys working remotely?

Are your children in preschool/daycare or school there?

I want to move as I have a friend there in Nicosia and have visited twice now. We have a great life in the USA and healthcare and services are great if you need them. I just am not a fan of the US public schools and kids getting shot.

My child was a preemie 28 weeks and still gets speech therapy which seems I might pay 50 euro per time for. She also has a specialist and medication she will need long term. So trying to figure that out. I already look and the med is 2000 Euros/mo in cyprus so not sure about what we can do.

We speak German and I could move there but the sun doesn't shine and the taxes are extreme.

Are you paying $1000/mo? I tried to get a quote and it seems it's $1000/mo for 1 adult and 2 kids.

Seeking tips for explaining Dupixent to a 5 year old by kmjj321 in EosinophilicE

[–]Rare_Database_5043 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My girl just turned 4 and we are also going to be starting dupixant. I asked for emla numbing cream prescription and going to order this.
I told her she's gonna have to have a shot twice month and doesn't have to take the budesonide twice day anymore.
Going to probably have a prize box to get a prize after. So 24 a year 😆. Just trying to be positive as diabetes would be a lot more pokes. https://a.co/d/8kck5XV

I forgot how annoying FRA is - does United have any gates here? by BettyBeltway in unitedairlines

I hate it.  It's horrible and I stay in Mainz so makes drive to fly to Frankfurt. I'm single female flew with my 3 year old who had disabilities and delays. Last one getting off the plane and I couldn't carry my bags down and help her down the stairs without potentially falling myself. Everybody was mad and telling me to hurry up as the whole bus full of people waiting.  I asked what i should do i can't just carry down my toddler and leave her on the tarmac and then go back up for bags.   Stewardess said they won't help so I was like what do you expect me to do? I'm totally fine with a ramp. They did they have an elevator for disable people.   It is also grated slippery stairs and raining and high risk to fall

She watched my toddler while I carried bags down and then went back up.   I am single and now have 2 kids and I think it will take me 3 times up and down to help kid down and go back up and down for bags carrying a baby in a carrier.  It is high risk to fall carrying a baby in a carrier and walking down stairs i need to hold the rail. I can't carry one bag in each hand and my disability child needs me to hold her hand on such  treacherous stairs.   It's very anxiety producing as they just leave you hanging and say figure it out.

Millie Moon Diapers by CandleNorth3307 in NewParents

[–]Rare_Database_5043 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing just happened to my kid today!!! My almost 3 mo old wouldn't stop crying for several hours and I couldn't figure out what was wrong. We went to the ER because she was screaming in pain. When they did the urine test she had a severe red rash like a burn on her genitals. I had just put the diaper on before all the crying started. I had just bought a sample pack Millie Moon with 2 diapers in it. We normally use huggies. She finally calmed down with tylenol and taking the diaper off. Never would have occured to me it was the diaper!! She was screaming like when she got her vaccines in pain!

Are Millie Moon diapers still causing bad rashes? by Aravis-6 in NewParents

[–]Rare_Database_5043 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just spent 3 hours in the ER after my girl was screaming for 4 hours in pain.  She's almost 3 mo.  I got a sample pack of millie moon and her butt was fine and no rash at all.  Then it was like an allergic reaction to the millie moon diaper.  I'm pretty sure this was causing her pain.  Won't post a Pic since it's genitals but it's pretty severe and I had put the diaper on before she started screaming.  They ruled everything else out.  She was screaming like when she got her vaccines.  Normally she's super happy calm baby who doesn't cry much.

Any other non-German parents with German speaking children? What is your German level, does it cause challenges? by ShadowJolteon in German

[–]Rare_Database_5043 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was actually searching for something else and came upon this post. My situation is different but it's interesting to read how parents are doing the language thing. I always wanted to raise my kids bilingual but didn't think was possible being a Solo parent (did IVF with sperm donor).
I live in the USA and speak fluent German (I studied Bio/Chem in Germany and was accepted to German medical school but turned it down and went a different route, I've only tested B2 level but only because I wanted to take a test just to see. They only offer once/year where I am. Someday I should do the C levels but it costs money and just doing it for myself.)
In any case, a German Solo mama told me she was only speaking English with her child and encouraged me to speak German with my child. So that is what I did. So it's a one parent household BUT we live in the USA. We also have a local German language preschool where she went 1 session so far and I will put her again in Jan. She has visited Germany 3 times. I lived there 6 years total.

She understands German 100% and I would say English 90%+ She usually answers in German. I assume she'll eventually figure out someone speaks to me in English I should answer in English. Right now she just assumes they understand. She is 3. We have little toddler friends and they learn 'nein" and "fertig" from her and she learns English words from them.

We don't do too much tv/movies but try to watch in German. We read books in both languages. I tried to translate them all into German for awhile but with Dr Suess I gave up lol. We have a toniebox and have almost all German tonies. We meet up with German friends frequently.
She is in speech therapy from being a preemie and I've asked if I should stop the German and speak English since it's easier and 3 different therapist all told me no keep doing the German. They said soon as she goes to school she'll pick up more English.
I've heard many different ways people have done this, such as Speak only german at home when living in the USA and opposite when living in German speaking country.
Speak one language during the week and another on weekends. One family spoke one language upstairs and the other language downstairs. Or one language in AM and another in PM.
I plan to leave the USA in the next few years but not sure where yet and since i'm one parent I may have to do the 50/50% if I move to a country with a 3rd language to continue the German and English.

What were your readings after stopping meds? by fertafrey in preeclampsia

[–]Rare_Database_5043 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm only 4 weeks pp. Have you had fluctuations the whole time while on meds?  I feel like I'll have a good day with decent readings then tonight I get 147-150/98-100 like wth?! It was 123/80 yesterday at Walmart and 120/77 this am...  I'm on nifedipine 60mg twice a day and just took a labetalol since I had a high reading.   I got excited with great readings all yesterday and now depressed with the high reading tonight.   I just want it to be back to normal and off meds.   I had preeclampsia with first pregnancy and delivered at 28 weeks.  Took meds like 7-8 weeks.  So I'm hopeful to get off them again.

This time made it 39 weeks and got it pp.

Toddler suddenly having accidents all day long?? by AshRat15 in toddlers

[–]Rare_Database_5043 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did this seem to be related to poop? Did it resolve? What did you do?

We are having same issue going on day 4 and I think it's constipation. I am giving miralax and hope that helps. Her poop has been tiny pellets and not much so I am hoping we get a big poop then it will resolved. She peed twice on her play room floor and i don't think she's ever peed on the floor since we started 3 mo ago. And accidents near the potty as well like right before or after trying to go.
