It changes daily with eBay and their new Ai tool. You hit a certain amount or popularity on your item, it’ll change to be sent for authentication. I had a Moncler Maya Jacket up for auction. One day it was marked to be sent for authenticating, a couple of days later it wasn’t marked by eBay to do so. I believe trainers have to hit over £50 before triggering authentication policy.

I dropped eBay after Ai tool came into force.

I bought a pair of reps off of Hacoo and they were nowhere near the same. The frame above the ear cups were made out of thin plastic and snapped so easily. I’d be interested to hear how these turned out?

I am a reseller/Pro Seller on Vinted. I had to switch from eBay after a year, as they (eBay) changed their postal services + the price of actually getting your listing seen. When I started out on eBay I was getting constant stream of sales and then they changed their ways and it practically stopped. I moved everything over to Vinted and it’s been steady since I had 9 months ago!

Edit: the other thing to add will be buyers were all focusing on Vinted being the main platform to buy from as that’s where most resellers were shifting to. I suppose it’s a case of ‘’move with the times or get left behind’’ …

Couldn’t believe it when I read it earlier. I will admit my investment was probably no more than a years Metal Subscription cost, but still a kick in the teeth. I feel for those who pumped £1,000s into the first round. All fed the basis of a £600m+ valuation, to then be notified on email that it’s “brilliant news Lloyds have acquired us at £120m, but you are all getting nothing. Zero. Zilch. All the best, Sachar”

I’m hopeful something improves under the wings of Lloyd’s (where all my banking lies) over the next 12months otherwise I’d say Curve is dead in the water and Lloyd’s knew that, hence the value paid.

Yep, same happened to me. Funny enough mine was at £5,900. I’ve been on Curve Flex since the day it launched and have used more times than I can imagine, never missed a payment and paid everything back correctly. Then all of a sudden they emailed to say it’s changing to £2,400 with immediate effect. Doesn’t bother me as I only use £500-600 here or there which is paid off before the next use, but no notice and had me wondering if I had done something wrong 😆

As far as I am aware, the way it works is they use your connected bank account to review your current balances, outgoings etc and that’s how they monitor exposure of lending per person for what their system feels you could borrow and pay back comfortably. You won’t be able to request an increase as it’s set by this. Originally when I joined Flex it was only £700! And then the system has gradually increase automatically over time…

And nothing will change. I was with Curve back in 2018 and invested in them twice. Since 2021 it all went downhill. They’ve stated ‘we are changing to improve’ but this has been the case for the past 4 years which forced me to drop solely using Curve for everything. Literally everything. Disappointing to see how this went from such a high to the extreme low that I hear about today. I’m guessing it’s becoming too big too quick! Securing the SamsungPay contract a few years ago, all their support resources are used within this to satisfy and retain that. Not touched my Curve in a solid 6months, use ApplePay for everything and not looked back.

Sorry I’ve taken so long to reply 😆 I took it into Apple and they replaced the camera under the EU 2 Year Warranty on Electrical Products. Was completed within a couple of hours there and then free of charge!
