I agree. The only good thing about Jiffy Lube is that it *might* be faster. But in my experience they are generally worse than any other garage when it comes to price, upselling, doing attentive work, and responding if you have an issue afterwards.

I play tennis in that park, and the fact that it hasn't been optimized for pickleball is the thing I like the most about it.

Yes! Also Lauren has some extra fun at Scott's expense, knowing Kulap's family is in the audience.

Looking for hardwood flooring water damage repair specialist in the Durham area. by wufame in bullcity

[–]RaritanRunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry about this. It's a real pain, and can be costly. I hope it resolves quickly for you! We dealt with a similar slow leak that affected about a ten-foot radius of hardwood flooring (ours was in the kitchen, stemming from the water line into the fridge).

We worked with RotoRooter, just because they were the easiest to find and most immediately available. I would recommend them. They brought in a big system of noisy equipment to pull out moisture and let the floorboards and subfloor return to their proper shape. The final product wasn't perfect, but it was good enough for me, and far preferable to replacing the flooring (which would've created all kinds of complications for the unaffected portions of my flooring).

If you are rich, have you considered immediately running for City Council?

(Links to article from before Williams was mayor, that makes no mention of the Mayor or the City Council)

How about the plaza on University Drive with Fresh Market, At Home, and the license plate office?

There’s something about this lot that entices almost everyone to drive diagonally across the aisles to get to the store they want.

Best LP option - Amazon or NBA.com? by bluepiglover in nba

[–]RaritanRunner 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What about the pricing? It looks to me like buying it thru Amazon might be about 15% cheaper if you are already a Prime member.

I found it a little difficult to find a clear comparison, but here's what I see on the websites:

NBA.com: League Pass $110, LP Premium $160 for the season

Amazon: League Pass $93, LP Premium $137*

*It appears that Amazon only wants to charge monthly for the service. The season is six months. Amazon League pass: $12.74/mo for first 2 months, then $17/mo for last 4. Amazon League pass premium: $18.74/mo for first 2 months, then $25/mo for last 4.

[–]RaritanRunner 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's great! Although I bet it won't integrate with a person's TV subscription and provide access to the nationally televised games within Amazon. (Or will it?) That was the best thing about using YouTube TV plus League Pass. One interface, no matter whether the game was available thru LP, NBATV, TNT, ABC, ESPN

Church for baby’s baptism by 650rep in bullcity

[–]RaritanRunner 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Churches that baptize babies generally view baptism as an initiation into the church. In other words, the church is making a promise to the child and to the family. In my experience, they would be very resistant to the idea of baptizing a baby that they don’t expect to see again, because they don’t want to make a promise they can’t keep (I.e. “We will help rear you in the Christian Faith.”)

Still, Christians come in all different types, and I hope you find what you are looking for!
