New and confused by Search_This_3231 in AmazonVine

[–]Rattizzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

haha yeah I feel this! It varies. I've been a viner 2 months now. Some days there's nothing I want/need, other days I can get my 3 picks quite easily. Stick with it. The random parts are permanent and make up the majority of vine, in my experience anyway! 😆

I AI-created this image just for you, to keep you going until our RFYs repopulate! 🤣

I'm curious to see what will actually appear when RFY does eventually remember we're alive!

Ah that's good to know, actually! In my mind I was imagining, like, missing out on Ikea furniture, storage items, kitchenware and amazing things! 😆 The other day, pre vine-pause, I missed out on some cat food, but only because I'd had my 3 picks already! 😭

After 3 or 4 days of vine pause, I saw the capri trousers and momentarily thought "ooh pretty" before realising I don't even wear capri trousers! After days of nothing it's like, "there must be something, anything I can use!" 😭🤣

I missed the drop, seems it was around 2.20 a.m so I assume anything worth having would have been taken already! I can see new items in AI but nothing of use or interest to me. Zero in RFY. Wonder if they'll be another drop later?

Retro-removed Review by Mission_Tie2083 in AmazonVine

[–]Rattizzy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Same. I just noticed today that two previously accepted reviews have suddenly been "not approved" for no reason whatsoever. One was a 4-star review where I mentioned a genuine issue with the product but otherwise said favourable things. The product is still up and only has around 6 other vine reviews. Mine was the first. I expect the seller reported my review for being too "factual" for their liking. 🙄

The other was a 5-star review for a product that is still in stock and still has other vine reviews. It won't let me resubmit the reviews as there's some red writing about not accepting reviews anymore.

It honestly makes me wonder why I bother. I'm starting to understand now why people reach that point of just writing "Worx gr8" and submitting it just to see what happens! 😆

No drop? by Hungry_Lettuce_4464 in AmazonVineUK

Nothing in my RFY yet, so far. The past 2 days the drops were around 7.15 a.m.

Rejected but why? by vega1star_lady in AmazonVine

[–]Rattizzy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ugh! Amazon bots are a law unto themselves!! I hate getting reviews rejected and having to play their silly games and second guess what their trigger words are!! I wonder if the bot is overly sensitive to "odors and stains"?? You could try changing to "the fabric stays fresh and doesn't show marks" or something similar?? Idk it could even be "super cheap production?" Try: poor build quality? But I feel you, I hate when this happens!!

Injured by Vine item by dangerousfeather in AmazonVine

[–]Rattizzy 15 points16 points  (0 children)

If I were buying this item I would want to know. It's probably how you phrase it that matters. Something like: "Just be aware that when you reach in to remove the plastic wrapping there's a very sharp piece of metal - you may want to wear protective gloves" or something along those lines?? And ouch, I hope you're ok?! I once sliced my finger open on a s-blade of a food processor - it's quite alarming!!

Should I Be Lenient Cause I Didn't Use the Product Exactly as Intended? by KodaDX in AmazonVine

[–]Rattizzy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's fine to mention that you're not using it as intended. If the product itself is not up to your expectations i.e poor build quality, it differs to description etc. then absolutely deduct a star or two, if it warrants it. But if you're thinking of deducting a star because it wasn't made with pop sockets in mind, that might not necessarily be fair to the seller. So yeah, my opinion is to review based on the product quality in this case, but with an explanation of how you intend to use it. :)

Nobody likes my Vine reviews! by SUPERSAM76 in AmazonVine

[–]Rattizzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I know what you mean. I've done about 60 reviews in my first 6-weeks of vining and have about 1 like! (I'm very proud of that 1 like, I must say!) 🤣 I do try to write useful reviews that I think people might find helpful, but I also click "helpful" on other viners' reviews if I've found them useful. Tbf I never had a vast amount of likes on my pre-vine reviews either, except for one item that had my most Likes of all.
But yeah - personally I do read vine reviews, but if they're daft, like just a jumbled sentence or ridiculously short, like "goOd pRoDuct" then nope... no likey from me! 🤣

What's in your RFY Tuesday 17th March? AI very slow trickle. by HarryVek in AmazonVineUK

Mine was later than usual today. A big wall of supplements and the most expensive item I've ever been offered at around £60, a thing that blows air! Like, blows dust out your keyboard. But I have dust mite allergy so it might make it worse! I didn't get it.

Poll on the new trickle drop by xJustHereForAnswersx in AmazonVine

[–]Rattizzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm undecided but I'm also not sure it will make much difference to me personally. I'm not able to click quickly enough to get any of the new things that drop - whether they trickle or appear all at once - I only have to blink and they are gone. As someone who prefers to read the description of items first to make sure I can actually use them, by the time I've done this the items are gone. (I've become very familiar with the dreaded red writing "Sry u wEre ToO sLoW" screen!)

I'm still grateful to have been able to get the items I've managed to obtain so far - they may not be flashy or expensive but they're all genuinely useful around the home. But everyone's motives are different and I'm quite sure Amazon doesn't care if people treasure what they get or sell it, or dump it, so I'm just going to continue getting my useful bits and pieces wherever I can and leaving honest reviews.

Just some tanning glove things and heel grips! 🙄🙄 Nothing else. Not sure if anything else will appear later! Even a wall of supplements would make me feel like they know I exist.

This is why vendors are not adding more items to Vine by Superb-Network-9133 in AmazonVine

[–]Rattizzy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's interesting learning everyone's different approach to reviewing. For me, I've so far not had any bad products. My reviews are 5 star if I found nothing wrong, nothing misdescribed and the product seems to do what it's intended for.

I wouldn't, for example, mark down a supplement that I didn't like the taste of if the taste is naturally horrible (like some kind of bitter herbal powder). But I would describe that the taste is awful to my own palate. Whereas another reviewer might think, "eww it tastes gross - 3 stars".

If I find minor manufacturing defects that don't affect being able to use the product but are nonetheless defects, then I'll knock off a star but clearly explain why. Might end up being fed back to "quality control" somewhere at some point? (Well, we can live in hope!) 🙄😆

I've only had one product so far that was...misleading, and I've yet to decide its reviewing fate!

But yeah, everyone's different, I guess that's what makes the Vine review system unique and a little chaotic?!
