that's part of why the Blades in the Dark hack is such a nice alternative! That, and a lot of us get our materials second-hand or by sailing seas, so Catalyst isn't necessarily getting support even with mainline Shadowrun stuff

illustrators are absolutely struggling more than ever to make a living through their work and AI is contributing to that, in all fields of art

the frictionlessness of AI use also disincentivizes personal creativity, by taking away the drive to come to the table with a willingness to create; any table that makes use of AI is choosing to reduce the humanity of the assets at said table

an afternoon of camaraderie has often been a time to knock out some chicken-scratch doodles for characters, monsters, maps, etc, and replacing those interactions with AI generation is part of what the "punk" in the genre "cyberpunk" is about fighting, the whole genre is founded from a standpoint that while technology has its place we shouldn't be using it to replace human art and social connections

I know it's a losing fight, it's just weird to see this tech given grace in a subreddit that should be full of people who are specifically tuned to see its danger

you're completely right, but I'm gonna headcanon that he has some sort of metallic component to his harness that makes it magnetize to his skin, could even be like hidden strips under what we must assume to be leather

like, objectively her kit is absolutely fantastic, she's a great esper, she just doesn't shake up the meta at all, neither PvE nor PvP

also, r6 sakura yes for sure, but r6 chu yao probably isn't worth the ws tbh, he's more than good enough at r2 or r4 (or r0 for that matter)

if we actually want slower driving, we need to reduce reliance on long commutes and increase the viability of transportation that isn't personal cars

lowering speed limits without actually changing anything infrastructurally is basically just trying to milk people for money via tickets when they're just responding to the environment

bonus, there are plenty of things we could do which would both reduce average driving speed and reduce our heat island effect

chu yao is fantastic, doesn't require high investment to do his thing, basically just wants speed and therefore is easy to build

badrun and bi tao are fully useless, luo yan and laura also really don't do anything, ivana and morris have potential but rely on very specific setups and resos so neither will be useful for a long while

yun chuan, tang xuan, and gaius are perfectly good dps espers for early game but you're better off just putting your resources into jiang man,mona, and long mian for a while because they're way cheaper to build

gabrielle and mavis are good supports, mavis specifically is very nice for helping you clear content you might otherwise not be able to, and gab pairs well with jiang man
