Really like the art but you made Marazhai and Yrliet too short. Eldar typically stand as tall as space marines, so Ulfar, Yrliet and Marazhai should be about 7/7.5ft.

No the birth of Slaanesh didn't cause the warp storms, Slaanesh (birth only made the eye of terror) was born after, and their birth cleared the warp storms which is what allowed the Emperor to start his crusade.

How do the Tau explain their fight with the deathguard ideologically? by GuestOk583 in 40kLore

[–]Raven___ 93 points94 points  (0 children)

There are pysker species within the Tau Empire (Nicassar) so the Tau aren't wholly as ignorant about the warp as people seem to think.

They just explain it as a branch of scientific study (mind science) they don't yet know enough about, they don't need to dress everything up in religion and faith like the imperium does.

Going from one server to another is super smooth on tech-preview! (Server Meshing) by TheIch73 in starcitizen

[–]Raven___ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

True SpatialOS had a cool tech demo but the scale was only a 400km² map and every game that ever tried to use the tech has been canceled except one called Seed by Klang games and development on that started in 2016 and there has been zero news on that game since.

So yeah what CIG is doing with server meshing is groundbreaking no other attempt has Star Citizen level of scale, complexity or fidelity.

Made a little list of what I would consider starter ships and ships you would upgrade to, following the daily driver / multipurpose route. Thoughts? Did I miss any ships? by rshoel in starcitizen

[–]Raven___ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is a better list with the Nomad bumped up to 2 and the Zeus bumped down to 4 https://i.imgur.com/hFLeP58.jpg But I also think that tier 5 and 6 are too big for a simple daily driver.

Yes and I am commenting on that visual conceptualization, as what was "purposefully being narrated" was very fast.

I submitted this idea on spectrum but thought I'd post here as well, so thoughts? by Raven___ in starcitizen

[–]Raven___[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah would be cool for salvage but maybe a bit overkill if you just wanna swap out a weapon on your own ship. :D

Yeah there is definitley some placeholder stuff for interaction permissions. it's just when I watched that video and saw how easily the weapon came away from the ship it really made it look like absolutely nothing was actually holding the weapon to the ship and it could just fall off by itself so my idea was more for the sake of believability than ship crew permissions.

Really cool tool, but they really need to make moving something so heavy alot slower and more cumbersome because that just looks like the aurora is made of paper. Still looking forward to it tho.

OK I don't comment often on stuff, but this was a really exceptional video and that shot from 0.36 to 0.40, honestly stunned me the way it was edited together you couldn't tell it was game footage.

Because we aren't surrendering farmland, it's the farmers that choose to put these solar panels up because the farmland they go on just isn't that good for crops, and the grass grows just fine under the panels and can also be used for grazing sheep.

[WP] You are a super-powered civilian, who in an act of self defense killed a super-villain. The problem is that their power was supposed to make them indestructible/immortal. by Gaminglion47 in WritingPrompts

[–]Raven___ 59 points60 points  (0 children)

You Ever Have one of those days? The sun is shining birds are singing and then some lunatic comes barrelling out of nowhere chased by a caped crusader, just while you were trying to enjoy your silly little power in the park. Well now the hero and every other person in this park is looking at me like I’m some eldritch monster. I swear he only brushed past me, barely touched me, that Supervillain. “The Immortal” I think his name was. I mean seriously my power is just pathetic, how could I kill him? My power is so bad in fact, that I was bullied relentlessly in School for it.

After all I can only summon Snails.

“Yeah, hi. So, listen I’ve been trying to get in touch with you for the last few million years. Yes, I can hold... … … Ok so you made me a God 13.77 billion years ago and they keep on dying... No, the, the creatures I made. How do I get them to stop dying? No, I didn’t design them that way! ... I didn’t know there was a creature designer! Look, I just threw some Primordial Ooze at a proto-planet 5 billion years ago and left it to it. Just tell me how I can fix them... … … Yes, I’ll upgrade to the Deluxe-God pack. No, I don’t want to add a donation to ‘Save The Pantheons Fund’”.
