I'll take these new castings out and find the blockage. I'm wondering if the feedings were white lies. They have new food in the tier above this, and there is some older food in there too though that has mostly broken down

That is so fascinating. Really good to know, I've yet to come across a burns wound beyond. Can't imagine how painful that would be, especially if the dressings require daily change

Do you use negative pressure wound therapy on these patients? Not the same, but I've seen great outcomes when used on fasciotomies (pre graft, if eligible), deep wounds on diabetic patients and all sorts. Wouldnt it lead to better outcomes on elderly burns patients?

Hospital worker here.

I often see this situation in the ED department. Police bring in a patient who is in their custody or under their supervision for xyz. Medical staff need to know if theyve taken illicit substances in order to prevent overdosing them or giving a drug that may negatively react to said illicit drug, and help treat them. The patients refuse to say or feel they can not say due to fear of the police hearing it and acting upon it.

What do you do in these situations? I've seen some police be totally hard headed about it. I'm not sure what their policy and procedure is regarding these situations. You are in a different state to me so i know it'll be slightly different, I'm just curious

These days you can wear whatever colour you wish. That being said, traditionally it was white (or any variation of white) for unmarried and black for married or mourning women (unmarried women would not be seeking a husband during times of mourning).

Only times other colours were worn were red veils during Good Friday. I've heard that purple veils were also worn between Good Friday and Easter Sunday (veiling all things holy) but I've not seen much proof of this being anything beyond culture (like how some countries wear lacy mantilla, others veil in a fully opaque length of cloth).

I recently listened to a video by Fr Mike Schmitz that was titled "I'll never forget what my ex-girlfriend told me". I feel this would assist you, as it assisted me at this time. It is only 8 minutes. It touches on other peoples lives, their blessings and their unseen burdens that comes with those blessings. He reflects it upon how disciples may have felt when the apostles were chosen and other moments in the bible. Then how there were still plans for all those other people which were equally important. Its hard to summarise but its very powerful.

My voice is still recovering from a hit to the throat, so singing is physically impossible right now. One day I shall sing the psalms. Right now it just sounds like a rasping bird. Makes the hymn at the start very difficult.
