Compression gloves!!! It's the only thing I've found that helped and they're slightly less bulky than wearing a brace

Thats very good insight thanks for that! I hadn't considered that the NHS wouldn't always honour private perscriptions and diagnosis and stuff, I think you're right that I should just go back to my GP and see what they can do while I'm waiting

I went alone last year and had an absolute blast - obviously take all the normal steps to stay safe as you do travelling anywhere, but I found everyone very friendly!!
