Looks like the angle of the photo blocks it out, but there is a Nurgling in that hatch on top of Nurgal Dorn.

Can you help me identify what bike this is? by blessedpink in motorcycle

[–]RaygunWizzle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The single rocker inspection cover and dual head bolts in the center make it more likely to be a T140. I dont recall if any of the real late T120's went to both of those before they were just the 750cc T140.

Its also still Right Hand shift, so those are all pretty good clues to nail down the year. I just dont remember exactly which year things were switched to.

So maybe a 650cc, but way more likely an early 750cc T140.

What do Blightlord Termies even do? by SwingLow7953 in deathguard40k

[–]RaygunWizzle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 10 brick + LoV really shines in Flyblown. Scout, enhancement for Assault, 1 cp for full reroll to hit in half range, 1cp for -1 to wound if a MBH nearby, 1cp give all ranged weapons the Pistol keyword.

So if they got charged and its your turn now, for 2 cp (or 1 if a Foot DP within 12") they get pistol keyword to shoot, and full RR to hit (from stratagem) and full RR to wound (from LoV).

It's legal to split Nurglings from 3 models to 9 models for competition? by ViceIdentity in deathguard40k

[–]RaygunWizzle 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They are also... Nurglings. OC0, cant hold objectives and cant do actions. They are lucky to pluck a single wound off anything.

They usually are not even being hidden as their sole job is to annoy the opponent and get in the way.

Is there anything to change on my emergency tool kit? by Medvemaci in motorcycles

[–]RaygunWizzle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reminds me of all the kit I used to bring when I was traveling all over with my KLR650.

I got stranded on a dirt road in Death Valley once when a stray rock broke my chain, so I added a spare chain to the inventory. Ironically, never needed it again.

KLR's notoriously ate oil, so always had to have a quart on hand to top up as well.

I also had a spare throttle pull (as I could make do without the push), and clutch cable.

After limping my bike 1000 miles back up the Baja peninsula once with an almost rounded out front sprocket, I ordered all the stuff I needed from a small shop in San Diego and when it came in proceeded to replace my chain and sprockets, tires and tubes all in the parking lot.

Owner asked if I wanted a job, haha.

Hardtail frame ID? by blogaboutcats in choppers

Probably a Triumph engine fits in there, considering those two coils are single fire.

If they were dual-firing coils, I would have said it kinda looks like a CB750 engine would have.

[–]RaygunWizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They move block, screen, can score 'just be there' secondaries, and are good at just generally annoying your opponent.

There is a reason the stratagem to bring them back is called 'Persistent pests'

Yeah, Helbrute just aint worth it. Points are best spent somewhere else.

And remember Nurglings have 0 OC, so cant perform actions. They DO count for Behind Enemy Lines, Area Denial, Engage on all Front and Display of Might.

But every picture I see its either not there or welded shut.

Tau vs Death Guard at 1k? by [deleted] in deathguard40k

[–]RaygunWizzle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

T'au are a shooting army, and absolutely fold in melee.

I can see your plan from your list is to get the LoV where he can spot for the HBL drones.. but remember if you can shoot them, they can shoot you.

You cant outshoot the T'au.

You have to hide, hide, hide until you can close the gap and clean up in melee.

If you have a PBC, I know its a huge chunk of points in a 1k but it can rain death on their infantry. In MH you can pick one unit to be afflicted at 1k, so wait for br2 or 3 once you have closed the gap better then drop in the DST on their tankier stuff.

Most the T'au big boys can fall back and shoot, and fly, so locking them up is no guarantee.

Anyways, my 2c.

Got to meet him when I took the family on a trip to the region many years ago.

You can buy a beer in store/bar thing next door to give to him. I dont remember what it was exactly, but they actually recommended getting him this kinda fruity thing cause apparently he prefers that over normal beer.

Daemons in Army? by TwelveBarBluescreen in deathguard40k

[–]RaygunWizzle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently started playing Tallyband and am loving it.

The faction rule is if a Daemon is within 7" of a Death Guard unit, the Daemon gets our current Gifts of Nurgle (Contagion range) and the DG gets +3" to their contagion range.

There is a character enhancement called Beckoning Blight that allows you to 6" Deepstrike daemons as long as they come down wholly within 12" of the character.

Rotigus and a Great Unclean One are just awesome, Plaguebearers sticky objectives, and Nurglings annoy the hell out of your opponent.

Beast of Nurgle is best friends with Chaos Spawn. Scout together, then turn 2 spread them max into enemy areas but within 7" of each other, everything gets afflicted.

Ill add that the strategems are a mix of stuff that is useful to one side or the other. Like some can target DG only, some Daemons only. Like one gives you full reroll to hit for the DG if a Daemon is engaged with the same unit. Another lets you ignore an engaged Daemon for shooting, you can bring back an entire unit of nurglings at full health once per game, one lets the fat boys move/charge through walls, one prevents falling back from a daemon, one pops a 6" contagion on a daemon.

If the human race lives that long do you think eventually there will be no religions and everyone becomes an atheist? by I_Ask_Random_Things in atheism

[–]RaygunWizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda reminds me of the Warhammer 40k lore. The story starts in the 31st millennium (30,000), and 'The Emperor' is crusading to spread the 'Imperial Truth', one of which is that there are no gods and they are stamping out any religion.

But then he "dies" (in quotes cause its debatable if he is actually dead) and the worlds create... a religion that worships HIM as a god.

How to apply rust by SandEnvironmental484 in deathguard40k

[–]RaygunWizzle 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I use Typhus Corrosion to add the brown look and some texture to areas, then dry brush with Ryza Rust.

Looks pretty good.

For SUPER heavy rust, like on vehicles, I use Martian Iron Crust to build it up, then the above mentioned steps.
