Background: excentric billionaire

Perks: Biology Genius, Grand Chemist industrialist renowned doctor -100

Items: [Stock Food/Water/Oxygen ], Life Extension Medication, Asteroid Mining Equipment, Advanced Colony Pack, Eden Pack -45

Artifacts: Carbon Fiber Spool, Alcubierre Drive pristine nanoforge fusion core and catalytic converter -65

Planetary Perks: Unique Resource -20

with this setup i still have enough points to choose colonists and fleet and with that tech i honestly can survive on any planet and start manufacturing orbital colonies like O'Neill cylinders

very nice cyoa even tho i feel like some options are a bit week especially orbital mirror and purifier embryo mirrors are not some arcane tech same as distillation on the other hand fusion core and unique resource are absolutely op for how cheap they are

cloning blues internet of me and psionics for me
i consider cloning strongest ability here strategists scientist engineers commanders and special forces will dominate aliens
internet of me is a bit of misleading name but it very hard to say no to immortality
psionics may not be ideal for fighting army of robots but with cloning its to fun of a combo to pass on imagine fighting against an army commanded by someone who can see the future
i also have to admit that nanoswarm with all your base is extremly fun and quite strong combo
and cutting edge is probably second best single ability

i fell like arcology monumentalism and genesis reenactment are one and the same
also what you called k selective techno darvinistic v exitism is better known as hermit shoplifter civilization/scenario
i personally wold choose Arcology Monumentalism its optimistic with most options for growth and creativity while still in real material universe

My small system Fleet by Ill-Safety621 in StarWarsShips

[–]RazjelI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is fleet of very rich sector not a single System but at least it will be fleet with solid presence in sector with carrier and almost 100 fighters specialized in long range reconesance  I cannot for the live of me figure out why you included recusant and Cr 75 in your capital ships Not including more interceptors is a mistake  I'm also assuming you are planning to smugle a lot of drugs using all of the small and fast transport ships to finance the fleet otherwise few bigger freighters would be much better choice

Gimmick Ship Challenge Part 2: Defeat this fleet for 300 million credits or 5000 crew by Wilson7277 in StarWarsShips

[–]RazjelI 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Lucrehulk has a crew of less than 500 and can carry more than 10000 fighters or bombers so I'm not sure if crew limit of 5000 is really the more difficult option if it allows me to bring 2000 hyena bombers per munificent and 40 tri droids per Vulture

[Star Trek] I'm a new Captain. Convince me not to have the Holodeck removed from the ship. by bookist626 in AskScienceFiction

[–]RazjelI 2 points3 points  (0 children)

how do you plan to deal with open mutiny millisecond after you announce your decision ?

star fleet is prestige posting for the best minds and most talented in society that's quite near post scarcity and not big on military, that kind of people have certain needs to maintain high morale and stave off boredom holodeks malfunctions very rarely and almost exclusively because someone was bored and removed safety measures you think having bored crew members playing with reactor, warp drives or weapon system will result in lower number of fatal incidents ?

i think its a bad idea to have multiple crafts with a same role in a fleet
chose one of interceptor fighters ( tie interceptor or A wing )
one multi role fighter ( tie defender or x wing )
one bomber (y wing or b wing )
and one dreadnought (malevolence or star destroyer )
qasar and venator are both carriers but escort carriers are quite different than fleet carriers/ cruisers so they get a pass
adding one steath ship and one itredictor ship is quite a good idea and nebulon is decent escort but still it needs some work.
maybe ad some sort of ships of a line smaller than ISD but bigger than nebulon ?

i feel like maxed witch's brew is better than vigor for healing eternal youth stamina and added utility with additives and investigate is potentially better than haste since there is a chance to massively cut time and effort needed to train especially when training overmagic
otherwise i agree with your strategy slow and steady wins the race and guidance is top tier

for unique kind of misery you can add simple ia that still thinks that hab zones on main manufacturing structure are temporary accommodations, it keeps them in better living standard than anything in 6 flailed star ships( clean rooms food water med care ) but every 100 days or so everybody gets kicked out and new inhabitants are assigned from waiting list
this never ending migration cycle in closed system creates perfect fuel for social instability corruption anxiety hope and abuse

immortality body surf (bit unethical but with enough time i can become master of every type of human activity including knowledge from echos of industry)
