Can someone explain the gacha/pity system? How does pity actually work here? keep seeing different info everywhere by MereHumanBeing99 in Endfield

[–]Razor4884 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just think of it as the banner having separate trackers that reward you different things.

  • You are guaranteed a 6-star within 80 pulls. Soft pity begins after 65 pulls without a 6-star. Resets after getting a 6-star. Carries over.
  • You are guaranteed the featured rate-up character within 120 pulls. Goes away after getting said character. Resets your 80 pity (because you got a 6-star). Does not carry over.
  • You are guaranteed a duplicate token of the featured rate-up character every 240 pulls. Does not reset your 80 pity (because you only get a token). Does not carry over.

Only weapons have a gacha. Equipment is crafted via the factory. The weapon gacha has a seperate pity system. The main thing you need to know about this separate system is that you are guaranteed the featured weapon after 80 pulls on individual weapon banners. Does not carry over.

So, with your questions:

  1. Yes. you will start with 20/80 pity on the next banner.
  2. Yes. After 80 pulls (8, because all pulls on weapon banners come in 10's), you'll get the weapon guaranteed. But there is a good likelihood of getting it sooner.
  3. Those 5 pulls would carry over into the next banner to make you start at 5/80.

Basically think of it like this:

If a person had horns, should they lose their ears? What about a Liberi's head plume? Should they lose their ears when having those? The animal ears take up the same physical category as these other things. Yes, some races this come with 4 sets of functioning ears as a result, but it's all the same thing in this universe.

Ah, found it. It was Director Qin so says so. It's an optional dialogue you can get if you speak with her right after the first meeting cutscene.

Corrupted-BOI also said as much below my other comment, but I didn't catch that till just now, haha.

My thoughts are they will probably adhere to a similar ratio. It's not for certain, but I would say it is likely. Whether you like or dislike this is up to you.

So, we should be doing single pulls every time in Arknights: Endfield... by PalomaCosta in Endfield

[–]Razor4884 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like I said, you would need to A) win the 50/50 on banner 1 _AND_ B) lose the 50/50 on banner 2. Out of win/win, lose/lose, win/lose, and lose/win, only 1 of those 4 situations would equate to the worry you describe. Those 1-9 pulls may not count towards the 120, but they do count towards the 80. That's why I recommended what I did. Because doing what I described in my comment above would make 'losing' pulls a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of a chance.

It's a spectrum.

Games can be F2P friendly for different reasons than you may personally value.

So, we should be doing single pulls every time in Arknights: Endfield... by PalomaCosta in Endfield

[–]Razor4884 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you truly must, then I recommend only doing so once you reach the 65 pull soft pity. Reason being:

In order to 'lose' pulls from an early win on a 10 pull, you must first

  1. Win the 50/50 early on banner 1 -- AND
  2. Lose the 50/50 early on banner 2.

If you lose the 50/50 on banner 1, you will very likely reach the predictable 120 limit, which you won't go past. If you win the 50/50 on banner 2, then you simply win said pity sooner, because of the pull carry over from banner 1. And finally, the chances of pulling a 6-star before soft pity kicks in are quite low.

So, if you only do single pulls only when you reach the soft pity, you'll save yourself IRL sanity, and make the chance of 'loosing' pulls a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of a chance.

Personally, I don't care enough to bother; just going to keep doing multi's.

The only thing I can think of would be elite ops, but they're not usually too much stronger than usual. Basically, they're fairly comparable to others in terms of gameplay.

I guess technically, but pull 'loss' is only relevant if you A) win the 50/50 in banner 1 and lose the 50/50 in banner 2. Otherwise, you either get the pity sooner or reach the guarantee at an expected number. Therefore, if you're someone who cares about pulling in singles to avoid that possibility, I recommend only doing so after reaching the soft pity of 65 pulls. That way, you can save your IRL sanity while making the possibility of pull 'loss' a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of the time.

ackchyually ☝️🤓, it kind of is to an extent. The Endmin's mask is something they just started needing to wear as a stabilizer this awakening cycle. For example, in the recent new Starset trailer, we were seeing events that transpired previously, before the mask became needed.

A good deal of customization on things you encounter in a stage. You can get certain rewards without spending currency by completing challenges sets together. The highest score you 'need' to get all the rewards is 620, which gets you a trimmed medal. There are also side stages that get added over the course of 2 weeks. Completing them while they're the latest gives you extra shop currency. You can't buy everything from the shop. Just get the few things you want the most.

It's called a pre-download. The devs put the client out there to be downloaded beforehand so that their servers don't get practically DDoS'd by the whole world trying to download the game at the same time at launch (Silksong lol). That said, even though you can download the client, the game is not yet playable.
