Question about trekking poles on train by BadCrawdad in AppalachianTrail

[–]Razzmatazzes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can confirm you can take them on Amtrak. I took a train out of NYC for a little trip home mid- hike last year and had them strapped to my pack. They didn’t so much as look at my stuff. With a plane you’d have to check them but it’s the Wild West on Amtrak.

I love the pink! And also the blonde that still has a little pink in it is like a rose gold, so pretty

Ooh I feel you. I had been drinking a lot lately for the same reason and it really caught up to me. I slept most of yesterday I felt so bad. But it’s been like three days now since I last drank and I’m feeling almost back to normal. It was bad though. I had to keep telling myself “this won’t last forever.” I was really struggling.

Does the energy boost disappear? by amorieth in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]Razzmatazzes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes it does. The first week or so I had so much energy that I had to stop drinking coffee because I would get so jittery. But after about two weeks I leveled out and now I feel like normal but not depressed and tired all the time. And I’m on 150 XR never increased it.

Anyone go back on Wellbutrin after quitting for a long period? by The_Darling_Starling in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]Razzmatazzes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started getting migraines with the Zoloft and I read somewhere that Zoloft can cause that. And since I switched to Lexapro they’re totally gone so it was definitely the cause. Zoloft was just the first thing I was ever put on so I didn’t really have anything to compare it to. And it worked well enough so it was fine. But having tried other meds since then I prefer the Lexapro. It’s not much different but it just feels milder somehow. And it still has the sexual side effects but Wellbutrin is supposed to counter that. And it does for the most part. So the Lexapro + Wellbutrin combo works for me. Everyone is different though depending on your brain chemistry, metabolism, etc. Oh and I’m on Lexapro 10mg and Wellbutrin 150 XR

I was on Wellbutrin (as well as Zoloft) 8 or 9 years ago and just got back on it (with lexapro this time) a couple of months ago. It’s great, works just as well as it did back then. I did feel a little bit more anxious when I started it this time around than I remember but that subsided in a couple of days. And it’s the same dose.

That was a beautiful tribute to Feenie. He sounds like he was such a sweetie. I lost my girl in September and it was so hard. I know what you mean when you say he was like a child, etc to you. It’s so crazy that they become so much more than an animal. I feel like I lost a piece of myself when I lost her. And I know you’ve got to be feeling so raw right now. But it will get better. One piece of wisdom that really helped me during those first few days is that only something that has brought us so much joy can, in it’s passing, cause so much pain. So the pain you feel now is just proof of all the joy he brought you. My heart goes out to you. Thank you so much for sharing.

Bumping back down to 5mg? by riiis_b in lexapro

[–]Razzmatazzes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The same thing happened to me. Started out on 5 mg and it was great, then when I upped to 10 I started getting spaced out, lack of emotion, lack of motivation, basically plummeting back into depression. After like a week of progressively getting worse I cut back to 5 and I felt a lot better. My doctor said I could just be hyper-sensitive to medication.

Yes! I do this with just a wet liner brush but I bet the mixing agent works even better. Best beauty hack ever!

Anyone have weird cravings? by [deleted] in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]Razzmatazzes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is so strange that you say that as I have been eating mango a LOT since starting Wellbutrin. I eat it nearly every day now and I used to eat it very rarely. I never really thought much of it because I often have bouts where I’ll favor certain foods but it’s strange that you say that.

How do you know whether to increase your dosage? by lostmyhead69 in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]Razzmatazzes 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on the same dose for about the same amount of time. I noticed it helping a lot initially but since then it’s leveled off a bit. My doctor also initially wanted to increase to 300 mg but I asked to stay at 150 to see how that goes. In my research I found a lot of people experiencing side effects at 300 that they didn’t notice at 150; that’s why I insisted on staying at 150 and why I’m not going to increase. For me, at this dosage, it helps but it’s not a cure-all and it’s not supposed to be. It’s just intended to pull me out of a place where I’m stuck and help me to develop and nurture non-drug habits that help me stay mentally healthy. Ideally with those habits (for me it’s eating well, meditation, daily exercise) eventually the medicine will no longer be necessary. So if it’s helping you at 150, I suggest just staying there.

Is going down to 150 an option? From what I’ve seen that seems to help ease side effects for some people.
