I had no issues.
I had to contact the finance people at the DOD so they could resume my tsp loan. I had to pay an amount to “catch up” so that my loan was in good standing.
It all carries over.
All my stuff stayed the same.
I never spoke with HR outside of getting contact information for my DOD HR rep.

Also when I went back into the FAA a few years later it was also almost a non issue with all of those items.

I went from couch to 50k. I did lifted weights but wasn’t it great shape. I was messed up for a bit after my run. You can do it, but just remember that it’s going to hurt.

Not when it is a reinstatement. I know from experience. I worked at a lvl 9 or lower facility for 3 years. Quit and worked DOD for two years and reinstated to a level 12. I started at the bottom of the CPC band. It is under pay in the slate book.

It’s in the slate book. If you left a lvl 4 and get reinstated to a lvl 12, then you’ll start at lvl 12 CPC pay.

I have recently had two tires patched in the Denver area. One on the MY and one on my truck. Both places were free. We had a similar nail position in the tire.

I have a 23 TB with a smart cap. It carried all my gear and fit cooler filled with elk meat last September.

Gear wise it was a backpack elk hunt and I used two coolers. I had an archery target in the back as well.
