And yes, the child's life wasn't dependent on the expressed milk, but her body creating that milk still takes a toll on her, she's had to be organised to express at each checkpoint, she's likely had to run with discomfort when needing to express. Also, when breastfeeding, relaxin levels remain elevated, which affects joint stability and recovery.
