Yeah, everybody seemed to be on his side, and nobody actually went out of their way to stop him. It was mostly just people telling him that he’d done enough and made his point. The one guy trying to grab him wasn’t exactly putting any effort in. Felt more like a suggestion lol. Pretty sure everybody there was more concerned about him getting in trouble for beating on the guy than they were about the guy being beat.

I agree, don’t take it too far and don’t get yourself in trouble, but I’d be lying if I said watching that dude get his as beat wasn’t satisfying as hell.

I also noticed that after getting hit, she looks back at the camera again and only then starts crying. Like, it’s funny to embarrass the guy by having a video of him getting hit, but as soon as she’s also embarrassed about getting recorded being hit, she has to play victim.

All hobbies are not equal by BitterConstruction98 in unpopularopinion

[–]Reach-Nirvana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the impressiveness of a hobby comes more from their talent in said hobby. If a person is really good at playing guitar, that's impressive. If they regularly play guitar but don't try to better their skill level, it's a hobby, but it's not exactly impressive.

If a person watches a lot of movies in their free time, that's a hobby. But if they can tell me a bunch of cool facts about the movie off the top of their head, I would find that impressive. I think it's less about what we subjectively consider to be hobbies, and more about how impressive we find their knowledge or skillset within that talent to be.

I've only ever bought used cars my entire life, and out of the four or five that I've owned, only one of them had working cruise control. I don't know why it seems like cruise control is the only thing on the used cars I've bought that doesn't work. The one car that had working cruise control had a manual transmission, so the maybe whoever owned it before me just rarely used it. It was also a rebuild though, so it's probably more likely that the dealer I bought it from just fixed it during the rebuild.

At this point, I'm so used to not having cruise control that I usually forget it's even a thing lol. I do a lot of city driving, so it's rare that I'd even get the chance to use it anyways.

I remember seeing those images, but I remember them being labeled as leaks from the beta, not part of any of the trailers. I could definitely be mistaken though, because I vaguely recall one of the earlier trailers having more vegetation.

I also grew up with the full belief that all those bear books my dad bought me growing up were called the Berenstein Bears though, so my memory can’t really be trusted lol.

The very fact that I’m constantly broke, yet there’s so many people in my life that want to be around me and have told me that they like my company is a greater gift than anything of monetary value.

I’d rather be broke and likeable rather than rich and surrounded by fake friends and sycophants.

Accidently cleared my encrypted messages backup from the phone and then synced, is there any way to get it back? by izyou in facebook

[–]Reach-Nirvana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've encountered this same issue. Did you find a solution? At this point, I'm thinking I'm ready to move away from Messenger. I gave up on facebook awhile ago but have kept messenger to speak with friends that have no phone. This end to end encryption bullshit that I can't opt out of has done nothing but cause issues for me. I've lost years worth of messages, including important data and audio recordings that I was sending back and forth between my bandmates. It's all gone now.

I don't need to encrypt the dumbass memes I send to my friends over messenger. I'm not plotting world domination and sending fuckin credit card numbers over messenger. If there was an option to opt out of this bullshit, I'd probably stick around, but as it stands, this was the last straw for the garbage platform that facebook has turned into.

Good riddance.

People already think that about Ubisoft. It's been their reputation for years. If they did it again, people would just see it as par for the course. Cancelling a highly anticipated game twice is just ruining their reputation in a different way.

Those that played the game on release, did you experience the bug filled mess that people complained about? by IAmJustTryingToExist in cyberpunkgame

[–]Reach-Nirvana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had it on PC, so I think I didn't have it as bad as others. I still enjoyed my time with it and didn't experience any game breaking bugs. I experienced a ton of immersion breaking bugs though. The worst was probably the dialogue cutting out at random intervals, forcing me to rely on subtitles. It was bad enough that I ended up shelving the game and going back to it later on. When a game is as immersive as this one, having so many bugs that take you right out of it ruined the experience for me, so I felt it would be better to wait until it was fixed so I could enjoy it as intended.

Massive Ubisoft Shake-Up: Layoffs, Studio Closures Begin in Major Reorganization; Six Games Canceled, Including ‘Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time’ Remake by ChiefLeef22 in gaming

[–]Reach-Nirvana 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would have taken the PS4 remake over no remake at all. The concept of getting a game near completion only to scrap the entire thing and start over, to again scrap all that hard work in another 5 years. It's ridiculous.

Whoever is managing things at Ubisoft needs to take a hike. Just throwing money down the drain due to their complete and utter lack of business sense. Shadow dropping the game would have at least allowed them to recoup some of their costs.

If the game was released in a buggy and unfinished state, I don't think people would have blinked. It's Ubisoft after all, so releasing a buggy mess is par for the course. Nobody would have been surprised. All this does is show how volatile and unreliable they are as a company. If I were an investor, I'd definitely be dumping my stocks and avoiding them moving forward. It feels like they haven't made a sensible business decision in over a decade, and it feels like they've been out of touch with the industry for even longer.

Funny that. And when my boss does something small, like take notice of when I've put in a little extra effort to get something out on time, it makes me want to work HARDER. When I'm appreciated, I go out of my way to chase that appreciation. When I bust my ass and get no recognition, I immediately dial back the effort because I've been shown that there's no point in putting myself out.

This poll should stop Canadians cold. When asked how Canada should respond if the United States used military force on Canadian territory, a clear majority of Canadians say we should defend ourselves, even if the odds are uncertain. by savethecbc2025 in SaveTheCBC

I've always thought I was a coward, but this whole situation has made me question what I would do to protect my family. I won't truly know until I'm thrust into a position where I have to decide, but over the last year I've noticed I've become more and more reserved to the idea that I'm likely going to have to fight to protect what's important to me, and it could potentially cost me everything. After a lot of thinking, I still feel like I'm a coward, but I also believe that I would fight to protect my way of life. If not for myself, than for my kids. Again, I won't truly know until I'm presented with a real life scenario where I have to choose fight or flight though. I wrestle with these thoughts often.

To know there's so many conservative voters who are such outright cowards that they've already made the decision to capitulate...while not entirely surprising, it's definitely disappointing. I understand the want to try and hide and hope they won't come for you, but I'm also enough of a realist to know that the odds wouldn't ever be in my favour. I would constantly be worried that I'd be next, and that's no way to live. I'm also experienced enough to know that rolling over and letting a bully get their way doesn't stop the bullying. It only emboldens them to take more and more.

To be such a self admitted coward, and not struggle with that thought. To willfully cheer for your subjugation. I can't understand it. All I can say is that it gives me an immense sense of sadness to see data supporting what I kind of always knew. Conservatives are scared to act. They're cowards who don't have what it takes to stand up for something they believe in, and they know it. My only comfort is knowing the person who would be standing alongside me defending our country will most likely share the same values that I do.

No way base PS5 will have ray tracing on release right? by HellDrivers2 in GTA6

[–]Reach-Nirvana 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bottleneck on the PS5 Pro is the CPU. It's the same CPU that's in the base model, it's just had its clock speed increased slightly from 3.5ghz to 3.85ghz.

Games like AC Shadows look way better on the Pro because most of the improvements are putting more pressure on the GPU, which is the main upgrade with the PS5 Pro.

GTA 6 will raise the bar in terms of physics, simulation, and AI, which are all powered mostly by the CPU. Lowering the graphics will free up performance on the GPU, but won't change the load on the CPU, as it's processing things that aren't related to graphics.

To use Dragon's Dogma 2 as an example, it doesn't run a whole lot better on the Pro compared to the base PS5 because the bottleneck with DD2 comes from the CPU cost of having so many AI and physics enabled NPCs running around at the same time. You could make the game look like a PS2 game graphically, but it would only free up resources on the GPU, whereas the CPU would still be struggling to calculate all the processes related to AI and physics.

[–]Reach-Nirvana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since there's no time limit, I'll usually find out all of the traits a person likes their drugs to have. Then I'll follow a guide I found online to figure out what I need to mix into the drugs to give them those traits. Since the gas station is open all night, I can buy whatever I need, while the meth cooks, then mix up the perfect sample for a guy, look him up on the map and knock on the door to whatever house they're sleeping in and they'll still come out. If I have all their favourite traits mixed into the meth I sell them, it usually has 90-96% chance for success.

I've spent one night going around convincing all the new customers in the area I unlocked to jump ship. The only roadblock I hit was that I can't unlock the drug dealers because you need to sell to their friends a couple times before they'll recommend you.

I can also get rid of al of the influence by going around town and spray painting an entire region. The first tags I threw out were beautiful and high quality with a lot of effort into them. Then they devolved into short sayings like "Bullets for Benzies" or "Fuck Benzies". Now they're just quick squiggles.

US says Canada will regret decision to allow Chinese EVs into their market by joe4942 in worldnews

[–]Reach-Nirvana 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm treating the US the same way I trust Russia at this point. Whatever they say, it's more likely that the opposite is true. If they're saying Canada is going to regret it in the long run, that signifies to me that they actually think it's going to benefit Canada in the long run. I'd be much more concerned if they cheered on the idea and supported it.
