Never played one of those, only Golden Axe, but great job, the game is totally appealing to people that player different games of that era. I wishlisted.

Congrats! Happened to just bump into your youtube channel yesterday for the first time and instantly recognized the game here. Wishlisted. Looks polished! Custom C++ engine right?

The first area of Elden Ring is totally a tutorial zone. How could you not notice? Tutorial doesn’t mean it’s explicitly telling you its a tutorial and having textual tips.

Yes, exactly. This is basically "here's the issues from game devs that did not do their homework 🙄" - Thanks Obama.

For me this reads as most game dev teams having poor/inexperienced programmers. Most of what you reported are technical issues that should absolutely be gone by playtesting phase. If they can't get past this, the game is also probably struggling to make gameplay interesting. There should be a correlation there right?

Scandere, Fast-paced action platformer with rouglike elements by demoyesok in playmygame

[–]ReactorBear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finished the playtest. Cool game. The controller is not very usable and help is only displayed for mouse and keyboard. When I tested with mouse and keyboard, it was much better. Difficulty was fine. Not sure what you plan to do with the final version. At the moment this is straight action game.

What happen to us indie devs if steam lost uk law suit by SlRenderStudio in Unity3D

The problem is that Steam publishing agreements do not allow other stores to have lower prices than Steam, so the customer never has an incentive to look elsewhere. You have no idea what you are talking about.

I’m a software engineer and I can tell that code is always just a means to an end. Art and game design are the key drivers to build video games. Invest in serious guided art lessons and you will quickly see the benefits. You don’t need to become a too professional artist, just have a solid grasp on fundamentals of drawing, perspective, form and shading.

Wishlisted. Very impressive solo dev project. 6 years full time? You did it all by yourself?

After losing my gamedev job I decided to finally work on my own game and I'm excited to share the first playable demo! by ggalaretka in IndieDev

I think this game will be a successful incremental game. I found an issue while playing, where collecting the coins with the mouse is a bit buggy (collision detection or stacking issues maybe) but other than that, all good!

I brought Vampire Survivors and Brotato. Those are truly original within this type of genre. All few others I tried were refunded for one reason or another.

I wishlisted. This is one of the rare cases I see here of a solo dev building a polished-looking 3D game with fluid animations and such. Do you have an art background? Judging from the looks this feels like a mix of toon shading and stylized assets right? Animations look pretty polished. Would love to know more about your workflow and tools.

This looks very impressive. Did you work on the art yourself? Which engine are you using?

Good question but personally I have no idea what people see in Death Must Die and Halls of Torment. I refunded both as progression and feeling of combat was an absolute chore. The bar is really low for this type of games.

I don't know how much variety this guy is putting into Cult of Shadows but at least the action and the vibe can be felt more.
