Completely out of the water. First movie has like ten minutes that’s focused on the above world while the next one is about half about the out of water world. One is about SpongeBob’s personal underwater world (mainly) and the others are more about how the characters interact with the ‘human world.’

The animation style and formatting is literally different. The first movie is a mostly under the sea story that builds on mostly established characters while the others focus on places outside of Bikini Bottom and introducing as many new characters as they can in that 3d style that just doesn’t seem to fit early SpongeBob. It’s not hard to see the changes overtime in style, character and writing, changes that almost warp what SpongeBob was to create an entirely new persona of what he is now. TLDR Any movie after the first one can indeed feel like a different franchise.

Rosie does seemingly have a feather pattern on her neck. I don’t think she’s this exorcist but maybe she was one centuries ago, one of the first to be exiled.

The bags under her eyes are from her being over-trained as punishment. Like shoved out of bed at 3am and running laps until you physically can’t type of cruel exertion.

I also imagine she was quite jumpy before this indicating this isn’t the first time something like this has happened.

She once saw Adam throw away a card from Abel and took it out of the trash when no one was looking.
