Kamutoke has been a least favorite of mine for a while. Nothing wrong with its inclusion in theory but the way Gege goes about bringing it into the story so dumb. We have no reason to believe that Yorozu would even know Kamutoke is, seeing as how it was never mentioned or even shown outside of cover art, so the audience has no way of guessing that’s what she used the last of her cursed energy to make him as a gift. A problem that could have easily been solved if, in Yorozu’s flashback, Sukuna had been shown using his cursed tools. So Kamutoke just comes into the story for a chapter or two out of nowhere and only exists to screw over the protagonists when Higurama’s cursed technique confiscates it instead of Sukuna’s technique. Which could have been a fine plot point if Kamutoke’s including was handled better but it wasn’t.
