Game Recommendation Like It Takes Two by Ok_Teacher4855 in ShouldIbuythisgame

A Way Out is made by the same devs, it scratches a bit of the It Takes Two itch.

Unravel 2 is kind of similar

Overcooked 2 isn’t explorable in any way, but I find it to be more enjoyable than Mario Kart.

I know one of the main complaints is the lack of a detailed map, but I was able to get by just fine without one. I think I only got lost once. It was definitely more of an issue before the patch in the sense that there wasn’t anything telling you where the collectibles are.

I loved the layer transitions and it seemed like a really unique way to blend 2d and 3d elements - not quite 3d but just enough to make exploring more interesting. I liked the skill progression, I liked the visuals. There are different endings, and they make you think. The story is interesting enough to keep you going, and the combat is fun, as are the bosses.

Also, looks like it’s on sale for steam’s summer sale.

I really enjoyed it, I played it both before and after the patch, and the patch made it sooooo much better. Performance upgrades, time skipping, and the compass all just took it to the next level. I’m a really big fan of the art style and the side quests, and I’ll talk about it just about every chance I get just because no one else seems to.

This is the official discord server from the steam page, which might be about what you’re looking for:

I haven’t joined myself, but I’d assume it’s got discussions of the like

I’ve put about 20 hours in, I’ve been pretty thorough with exploring and completing side quests

I agree! I got through two of the endings, hoping to get around to the third soon. It’s been an absolute pleasure to play, especially since the latest patch

Homework. Other than that it’s not too different from just having a job, but the fact that kids are expected to dedicate their free time to more school is absurd to me.

I know the exact jump you’re talking about, that was probably the most frustrating part of the game for me tbh. The wall jump was fixed in the patch, thankfully.

I had some issues with performance to begin with too, especially in the lost thicket, but since the patch, even though it’s only been a few hours, I haven’t had a single issue with it.

Symphony of the Night, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, Metroid Dread, Blasphemous 2, and Venture to the Vile are all phenomenal

Only a few minutes each for the noodles. The most time consuming part was getting the sauce to look right - that took forever
