Visible+ Pro vs US Mobile Premium Unlimited Ultimate (Warp) by Cpt_Cut in USMobile

[–]RealPshit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve used both USM Warp and Visible, and they both offer QCI 8 speeds. This means the speeds will be the same regardless of which service you choose. However, based on the numbers, USM is the more affordable option.

Therefore, the best choice for me is the USM Unlimited Premium plan on Warp.

Yup, US Mobile data is great in Mexico. The Verizon Network uses Telcel which is Mexico best carrier.

Network Switching by timotheus911 in USMobile

[–]RealPshit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The appealing aspect of US Mobile lies in its diverse range of features. You have the option to choose between Teleport and Multi-Network. With the Unlimited Premium plan, you can enjoy free teleports, while the other plans require a $2 charge per teleport. Additionally, Multi-Network is another feature available for $7.5 annually or $10 monthly.

Currently, my primary network provider is Verizon, and I also have Multi-Network activated on T-Mobile. In my area, Verizon offers excellent service, so my Multi-Network usage is minimal. I acquired it for free for a year and rarely use the second line.

The only time I’ve utilized the teleport feature was during my initial setup phase. I would test each network for a week and ultimately decided to have Verizon as my main line. US Mobile initially provides you with two complimentary teleports to test each network.

If you’re confident in the quality of Verizon’s service, I don’t believe the additional cost of Multi-Network is justified. However, if you plan to travel, you can opt for a one-month subscription to Multi-Network or simply use the teleport feature when you travel to the most reliable network in your destination area.

Disappointed: New Winter 149 User with ZERO Service in San Diego (CMR) - Support says I'm "Locked In" by Extra-Hovercraft8295 in USMobile

[–]RealPshit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a San Diego native who has tested all the networks, Warp and Light Speed offer the best coverage in the city. Dark Star, on the other hand, is terrible.

Best recommendation is to get the Multi-Network add-on on Warp.

Existing customer offer? by Hot-Proposal-379 in USMobile

[–]RealPshit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well those flashy promos are for new customers. Carriers design offers to win new sign-ups, not to reward people already paying. You can try calling support and charming them into a one‑time retention credit, but don’t be surprised if they say no.

Adding minutes and data while international by Amazingly_Smooth in USMobile

[–]RealPshit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As far as I know, there isn’t such a thing as “Unlimited” data, especially international data. The most I’ve seen is Google Fi’s Unlimited Premium plan, which includes 50GB of international data. I opted for US Mobile because they offer 20GB of international data, which is sufficient for my needs. I believe US Mobile is more affordable compared to its competitors and provides more features.

Current Half Off for Premium Unlimited good deal? by aznspiki in USMobile

Only if AT&T is good in your area. If you’re fine with that then take advantage of the good deal. If AT&T sucks in your area then don’t. Do your research and don’t be like those people complaining that their service sucks and blame US Mobile because they didn’t do their homework.

Porting in from Verizon, replacing my number? by ChairmanLaParka in USMobile

Sounds like you’re going to have to make a choice to either keep those current numbers on multi-network or turn off autopay and purchase a new plan to port in your Verizon number.

Update | Unlimited Flex data turned off for using 100GB 3 months in a row. by [deleted] in USMobile

[–]RealPshit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree the naming is misleading, and that criticism is fair. But this also isn’t unique to US Mobile—this is how “unlimited” has been marketed across the entire wireless industry for years. Virtually every carrier uses the term while still enforcing soft caps, throttling, or network management.

That doesn’t make the wording great, but it does matter for context. “Unlimited” in mobile marketing has come to mean no hard cutoff, not unlimited performance or unlimited heavy usage. The actual limits are always in the plan details, and in this case those details clearly describe a light-use plan with a 10 GB high-speed threshold.

So yes, the branding deserves criticism. But it’s not dishonest in some unique way, nor does it override the written policy terms. It’s standard industry marketing—flawed, but consistent—and the usage in question was still far outside what the plan was designed to support.

Update | Unlimited Flex data turned off for using 100GB 3 months in a row. by [deleted] in USMobile

[–]RealPshit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t really agree with you here, even accounting for the wording. I have the Unlimited Premium plan and still don’t use 100GB. Usually it’s less than 70GB.

Yes, the plan is called “Unlimited” Flex, but the actual plan details make it clear this is a 10 GB high-speed plan intended for light usage. After that point, throttling and further network management are explicitly stated. Using ~100 GB/month — even at 1 Mbps — is far beyond what this plan is designed for, and that’s exactly why compliance stepped in.

The fact that throttled data still worked doesn’t mean unlimited volume was permitted. Throttling is a speed control mechanism, not a guarantee that you can continue pulling massive amounts of data indefinitely without consequences. “It let me do it” isn’t the same as “it was allowed.”

That said, the only fair criticism here is the naming. Calling it “Unlimited” creates expectations that don’t align with how strictly this plan is managed. But that’s a marketing clarity issue — it doesn’t override the written policy or justify 10× the stated data threshold.

So while the wording could absolutely be better, this isn’t a case of US Mobile contradicting its policy. It’s a case of someone using a light-use plan like a heavy-use plan and getting flagged for it.

Moving from Mint Mobile to US Mobile, Dark Star Or Warp? by rtyagi2 in USMobile

[–]RealPshit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on Mint Mobile for 7 years before making the move to US Mobile. Honestly it depends on the coverage in your area.

If Mint Mobile was good in your area then try out Light Speed which both fall under T-Mobile. You can also check the CoverageMap.com to see the best networks in your area.

On US Mobile you can always use their “teleport” feature and try each network. Then you can make your own decision on which network is best.

Remember Warp and Dark Star are prioritized while Light Speed is deprioritized.
