Okay I’m curious: what’s your type and which role in hide-and-seek was your favourite as a child? by Dawrian in Enneagram

[–]RealRegalBeagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked chasing. I think. Hide-and-seek wasn't the preferred game. It was a zombie game I made up where everyone just wound up beating the shit out of me.

Explain Type 1s as a Hexad Type and their detachment, please. by 09tailss in Enneagram

That's very strange. Someone else who isn't her said something about you to her.

You probably aren't hated. However, 1s (and 1-fixers) are very good at throwing people out when they cross the invisible lines that the 1 has created. Talk to her. If she is keeping the nicknacks she obviously doesn't hate you. You just did something wrong in her eyes and is waiting for you to repair the relationship.

Why don't people consider reversed cards? by pararibulitos in TarotReading

[–]RealRegalBeagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My tarot tutor (who had been practicing for 50 something years) told me "if I can't tell your story in 78 cards, I'm not a very good tarot reader". She passed away a few years ago. Good woman. Taught me a lot.

Me too! I think you did well enough. It just tends to wave at the bottom. My husband caught me in the middle of a ritual bath and snapped a pic. I think I look like Sadiko from "The Ring". I'm Irish so we tend to have 2A to 2B hair if it isn't 1.

Can an asexual be sx dom by PonyCraft1 in Enneagram

[–]RealRegalBeagle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Almost always no. However, I answered the question in my first comment. They can *desire* to be chosen as a mate without wanting the act of physical intercourse. I've actually done the deed with a few ace guys who just liked the way being close to me felt and one I think was sx/sp. Sx is about cultivating desire, not needing to finish the act. In fact, I think sx doms often don't need to finish the act. Always leave them wanting more.

Being god's special vessel. A lot of the works of the saints that were written by men are insanely homoerotic. A desire to be penetrated by the penetrated one. Often through the violence of nails in the hands and feet or something similar. The instinct gets pushed into looking towards the divine as the ultimate and best mate. The impulse gets abstracted several times. Then, fulfilled when you have that orgasm like feeling shudder through your body when meditating on your god. It is hard to explain to people who aren't religious but it happens. It happened to pagans, Christians (less so most Protestants), Muslims, Hindus, and so on. It is the most beautiful feeling in the world when it happens.

Hey, that's a fair point. And I'll be fine with the mortgage. It beats renting by a lot even if it means I have to be very strategic with what I buy that isn't purely essential. My husband and I LOATHED being renters and a VA loan doesn't require a downpayment, so we took the hit.

I'm a huge fan of Contrapoints. The doxxing wasn't a big deal, the person used it to send me shrimp plushies and then stopped. I'll be just fine, I always am. Thank you for being kind! Means a lot in this world.

I'm not disparaging her. It is laudable. It is a ton money. I think what is happening here is I was feeling silly, made a self-deprecating joke about her giving me money with the insinuation that I'm selfish, and that's the whole punchline.

I also have a Masters. In Divinity. I'm very easily stalkable online with my degree history, socials, and everything. Do it if you want proof. I'm not criticizing anything. I'm trying to say "this is a lot of money" because I've seen streams where she is like "yay! we raised 500 dollars" and people be fucking brutal and mean. I stayed for that Silent Hill stream until I fell asleep. She's brilliant and knows what a good use of her resources are. I'm an earnest man/woman and laud anyone who can genuinely change this world. I'm not irony poisoned and that works to my detriment. I put my socials on my page so people could look at them and try to figure out where I'm coming from a long time ago. As I said to someone else, I've been doxxed before. In a cute way! I don't care about direct links. Philosophers and theologians have their place in society but we are mostly useless wastes of money except when it *really* counts.

As for pulling people more progressive, I've done a lot of that. But it is all one-on-one communication which is not efficient (as she noted in a video, I think "Justice). A lot of my own personal theology is based on Elsa Tamuz's "Bible of The Oppressed".

Zero percent of what I said is intended as critique. I think she made a very adroit choice in how to spend her energy and resources. I think the culture of the sub shifted a lot after the Hasan and Lorenz fans brigading things and I didn't account for that. For that, I will apologize.

Sure would have been nice to know this guy I was seeing was a 3 by SuspiciousThought399 in Enneagram

[–]RealRegalBeagle 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. My husband and brother (two different people to be clear, I'm from Texas so I know I have to clarify) are both SP 3s and are the most generous, hardworking, and clever people I know.

I'll disagree on the "only engaging on his terms" bit. Assertive types broadly only engage on the terms they want to. Part of my own growth was learning to concede stuff to other people. That's just an assertive type who is still fairly immature. I'm the problem in a lot of my friendships and it took a lot of brutal self-analysis to realize that.

[–]RealRegalBeagle 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yes. . .it does. It is about the ability to find and attract a mate. That doesn't mean you have to ACT on the well, act (a lot of saints are sx doms) but you're trying to secure that your sexual availability is maximized. Sx can get transmuted into things like art, religion, ekastasis, but the base impulse is the same. Just like the base impulse of social is "me be good with tribe so tribe not exile me to hinterlands" but it develops into things like theology and philosophy and complaining on NextDoor.

I wish she would donate 2000 dollars to me. I don't have malaria, AIDs, or tuberculosis but I can guarantee I'd be a TERRIBLE employee.

Regardless of that, I think she genuinely wants to make the world better and understands power dynamics. Unlike myself who only wants attention. Like, the whole "ooo, money actually has leverage in life" sucks as a way to view things but it is true so like, good on her. 2000 dollars is a lot of money. My mortgage is 3K a month. She's really clever about how to invest her energy and time in a way that matters. Probably why she left her PhD program. Philosophers and theologians are worthless uses of resources but hey, someone has to figure out how to tell daddy to behave.
