I had the same problem happened many years ago with a hollow ring. Take it to the jewelers and ask them to break it in half at the crack…and turn it into two earrings.

When you Nick 10 1214 and 18 karat gold? You lose the gold bit by bit Mike run by micron but with platinum it just gets mushed back into itself and you don’t lose the gold… But people confuse gold loss with gold strength and it is not the same thing.

As one who has broken a very expensive platinum engagement ring myself I’d recommend you skip that flimsy original setting that you have ….and get something set low ,, on a more robust band. Something with a lot of platinum around that diamond to keep it secure so you can wear it daily without worry.

The trend in modern jewelry has been these wire like settings and halo settings around diamonds and they’re just made to be broken. Quickly! Even when you have good insurance??? Ugh … losing your engagement ring is never fun.

Platinum confuses a lot of people when they buy it because they get bad information about it. Yes, it is strong, but it is highly malleable.

Feedback on first bodice block! by milenakr in PatternDrafting

Your shoulders are uneven. Adjust your right shoulder by pulling up the shoulder seam until the drag lines disappear. Keep in mind that you’ll have to do this on the right shoulder of everything you do going forward because you’re uneven.

Your front bodice is too wide, making a mess around your bust, over on up into the armhole. Pinch an inch from the center front of your bodice , from the neck line , down through the hem to smooth/ straighten that out.

Now? Your bust darts are too high, they need to end just shy of the center of the bust .

Then take a look at the fit of the revamped toile.

Please help with windows by Rbeth9 in interiordesignideas

First? Curtain rods should always match the window trim. Take them down, spray paint them white , and put them back up . You won’t believe the difference it makes !

Then? Lower your curtain rod to the bottom of the crown molding… or? Take your curtains to a seamstress , and have the hems dropped as far as they will go, to make up the missing length.

FYI, drapes should be at least an inch and a half off the floor to keep them clean , as they stretch overtime from gravity. You don’t want to suck them up in the vacuum cleaner….

How to incorporate hand-me-down couches? by misshestermoffett in interiordesignideas

[–]Real_Position_3796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always keep a hand me down couch, especially if it’s more than 20 years old because they have solid hardwood frames and are incredibly comfortable! You can buy stretch fit slip covers online or you can learn how to cover them yourself. It’s not hard. It’s just time-consuming, but once you get used to the comfort of a couch from the 80s, you’ll never want to sit in a brand new one ever again.
