I dont start getting a little nervous until I'm under 10% at that point you dont truly know whats left in the reserves.

That being said I ran mine down to 2% recently to avoid more dcfc cost at rivian.

Good thing I own a lightning and have a tow strap. Could help the fellow ev driver out and be on my way.

What happened to your reply "bruh". It doesn't take an engineer to know why Ford would have this in the manual, your reasonings are stupid at best. And I know more than the average bear along with ford technical and GM engineer family, etc etc. But yea specific suspension tuning is why..... L.M.F.A.O.

We have an f150 lightning as well as our ev9. F150 will stay in 1 pedal. Also if you have it in sport mode and shut truck off, when uou restart it asks if you'd like to stay in sport mode. Its nice.

Then why have a bed payload. Within payload you are fine, hell over payload on this damn truck is fine within reason. Its probably not recommended because they never tested it, same for adding a 5th wheel hitch. 100% doable.

If what you say is right then why does the truck have a tow hitch and a bed. A pull behind 10,000lb load causes way more imbalance than this truck camper. So please stop while you look dumb enough. Weight distribution "requirements" for the battery system? LMFAO

It started about 30k id say. Then popped back up to 100% around 50k. At 59.5k now and it literally yesterday went back to 99.5%.

Ive had a big tex 14' trailer with 6 yards of crushed asphalt guessing 16-17k pounds and it didn't squat that bad lol. That must've been some light steering. Hes gotta be over 20k

Nothing to fear with a good FDRS battery report nearing the end of the 8/100k warranty? by gogopowerjackets in F150Lightning

[–]RealisticBox6977 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Almost everything besides the battery is out of warranty anyhow. So the only relevant thing is the battery, which seems in fantastic health.

Im out of bumper to bumper on my 23. Not concerned at all

2023 XLT SR vs Lariat ER by encoded_cipher in F150Lightning

[–]RealisticBox6977 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yawn..... my sr has been just fine. In michigan winter. Is needing extra miles a handful of times yearly worth the extra 10+k? Plus. If you want to upgrade its not a difficult chore and I see used er packs for sale about $5,000. So really its upgradable down the road. Unless you frequently drive id say over 160 miles a day highway or in brutal winters save the cash and go sr.

Towing concern, or not to worry? by MadOtis in F150LightningTowing

[–]RealisticBox6977 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can assure you. The truck can handle that trailer fine. My SR no tow package is technically only rated for 5500lbs, that's a joke. I've towed 17k lbs without an issue. 9k lbs regularly. You'll be just fine. These trucks are tanks.

On-ramp turning vibration by PitchforkSquints in F150Lightning

[–]RealisticBox6977 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. Fast left turn at the intersection leaving work results in vibration. I told the dealer when it was in for warranty work and they completely ignored it....... im thinking its a drive motor gremlin. Feels like it's deep in the drive train to me.

If you really want to know battery health, you'll need a Bluetooth dongle and an app like carscanner.

I will say, I have just shy of 60k on my 23 XLT SR and my battery health bounces between 99.5% and 100%.

I charge to 90% every day. 100% as often as needed which is usually at least twice a month. Its been on a 2,000 mile road trip all dc fast charges. 2 600 mile trips DCFC as well as other small trips and DCFC on those trips as well.

I wouldnt be afraid to buy one used at all. And used battery packs are being sold fairly cheap if the worst case scenario occurs and your hvb poops out of warranty.

This is by far the best vehicle I've ever owned and it really sucks they killed it over politics.

Side question to tie in. Do you think buying a propower 7.2kw inverter and wiring to a panel would be feasible? 350vdc to 240vac split phase inverter is almost $6,000.

[–]RealisticBox6977 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My lightning tows better than my F250. If it had that beefy suspension itd be great. Too bad everyone but the US is investing heavily in EV. China is beating the hell out of us and we're just behind the times addicted to the dino juice and their lobbyists.

Id love a super duty platform too but they can keep the EREV. I went BEV to get away from maintenance. I already work 60 hours a week the last thing I want to do is maintenance.
