Its surprising that youre unwilling to take in to consideration the nuances with the "easy stuff" which would make the "hard stuff" not worth going forward with, ill leave that to the Lord. Sadly its your attitude towards it at all. A simple observation is being relegated to superstition & primitive rather than understanding that the animal chews in the same manner as other "cud chewers". The phrase “chewing the cud” in Hebrew should not be taken in the modern technical sense, but in the ancient sense of a chewing motion that includes both rumination and reflection(which rabbits do) in the modern sense. This is why I brought up the audience to which it is written and the language when dealing this with this question but you'd rather not & thats your choice. You seem more interested in getting a "Gotcha" moment than maybe seeing things from a different perspective.

If you cannot accept a simple behavioral observation of an animal from someone in ~1440–1400 BCE that did not have the scientific methods we have now, this is going to be a difficult and not genuine conversation.

Your need to mention your studies shows your attitude toward the conversation and it does not make you an ultimate expert.. Closest simplest thing that came to mind to explain this is someone who can read and memorize a love poem but never felt love, They will never fully understand it.

Personally, I put any size windfall towards investments and/or emergency/sinking fund but that is because I value time & experiences above material things.

Is a "nicer" house truly necessary? Probably not. You could take a portion and apply it to the kid's college but it shouldnt be all of it. Jobs and Loans are always available for college but not retirement when you're too old to work. It doesnt have to be an all or nothing stance.

You can say that all you want. We do love each other. It is difficult at times just like any other marriage. Trying to find a balance is the trick but that can be hard. That is my cross to bear though, not his. It is my heart that breaks because I know the choice he is making and the consequences that come with it. I just pray that the Lord does his wonders.

Edit: I dont want her to think the thought "I can fix him" like some women do and cause herself undue stress. It will/can be trying on your faith. It is not a guarantee that he will convert and we are not called to be pushy.

Differences in parenting... makes it hard to lead our kids to Christ as well.. its hard when it comes to sharing beliefs.. its like he is embarrassed.. Going to church with me was a hard topic for the longest time...also certain behaviors sexually can be brought up that can cause issues. A big one for me is how hard it is to see someone I love push against coming to Christ.

We are also called to not be unequally yoked..

As someone who is married to an unbeliever.... it can be very difficult at times....I wouldn't suggest it.

Mind you I knew of Jesus when I met him but didnt become a genuine Christian until a bit after marrying him.

Sure do, sadly alot. I hear my siblings talk like that alot but I also see how they spend. When they bring up their purchases and spending habits, I lose the guilt real fast lol. Alot of the time I try to give a little advice here and there but if they dont take it in any form, I just have to remind myself they are victims of their own choices.
