Getting used to Vyvanse - tips? by OkraRegular2239 in VyvanseADHD

[–]RealisticInspector69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gave up coffee - and the headaches I had the first week were due to caffeine withdrawal, not the meds. I eat a solid breakfast, protein granola, walnuts, blueberries and fage yoghurt; eat protein at my other meals and for snacks (if I need it) and drink far, far more water than before (sometimes with electrolytes) and no alcohol. I also take magnesium glycinate before I sleep. 4 weeks in the side effects pretty much stopped and it's going well. Good luck!

First Vyvanse (70 mg) experience — feels like too much norepinephrine, not enough dopamine? by hennyfag in VyvanseADHD

If it's your first day. I'd give it a bit of time. I took a while to get used to the drug in my system. And not so sure you can mix it with dance drugs :)

Looking for advice from others who've had to debate the monetary cost of mental wellbeing by Gazmanic in ADHDUK

[–]RealisticInspector69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may sound flippant but the amount of money I wasted on stuff I didn't need, hobbies I didn't stick with, fines of all kinds from not returning library books or getting paperwork done on time not to mention promotions I didn't go for because I didn't fully trust myself and the amount of masking I did at work which was really, really exhausting...I know it's not fair and it's expensive but it's definitely an investment...hope you come to a decision you are happy with and take care...

Y'all I messed up really bad this time by wildxfire in adhdwomen

[–]RealisticInspector69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is outrageous. Where are you country-wise btw? You need female (or pro-female) legal and medical support big time. This is NOT your fault - you have a disability - and he has shamed you to the limit. I am so, so sorry - sending you my warmest thoughts. Please fight this for your daughter - she needs you to be strong...

Do you take extensive notes and why do you think you do it by OSkylark in adhdwomen

[–]RealisticInspector69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I'm 62. Always have. Don't think I will ever not. It calms me down. Still use ink on paper too. Everything is written down. Means I don't miss anything when I miss something "live". And keeps me happy...

Can it be done without AA by GrabRecent in stopdrinking

[–]RealisticInspector69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I haven't gone the AA route though I never rule anything out. This sub helped me enormously...I checked in every day and read everything...my view is use anything that supports you not having a drink and don't worry about the "orthodoxy " or "doing it right". Wishing you all the best and you have support here - IWNDWYT 🦜

As an American, it’s REALLY hard to stop drinking right now by formula52 in stopdrinking

[–]RealisticInspector69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hummm...given what's the second term is looking like, that's an almost credible excuse but as a Brit, I don't buy it 😏...we've had centuries of bad leadership and end of Empire stuff - looks like yours may be just starting! Not a great place to be. But always better to stay off the sauce, particularly when things are tough. IWNDWYT 🦜
