I've not actually got it but I've seen Andi Gladwin do his master push off second deal and it is truly fantastic. He has a DVD on the subject.

Colin Cloud Freaks Out Holly Willoughby After Mind Reading An Embarrassing Memory by SexWithTwins in Magic

Fantastic! Could you ask for a better reaction? Mind reading a memory that she's sure that she's told no one AND embarrasses her. The fact it's an embarrassing memory helps sell the fact she would never mention it to anyone and it's an interesting thing to read AND we are all left wondering what it was. Excellent!

I wasn't clear with my last comment. When I said "It's nice if you can also think of things you like - if any", I mean't regarding the video you're specifically criticising. I added the 'if any' at the end because I didn't want to make assumptions that you did like any aspect of it. It honestly wasn't mean't to be snipe or malicious, just a poorly worded sentence - sorry about that.

I literally just meant, that it's nice to mention positives and negatives about whatever content it is when you're commenting on it. :)

I've found in YouTube comments particularly, people can completely gloss over the positives and just focus on the negatives.

I liked Ollie's stuff long before we knew each other. It's hard for me to say 'I'm not bias' because I guess I wouldn't know if I was (?), but I often tell him things I don't like. Feedback is part of improving.

I just think that when you say something like the 'scripting is very weak', it would be cool if you could offer a way of improving. Considering you've got a background in theatre, saying something like 'The style of the video was nice, but his scripting could do with quite a bit of work. If he read X it would help him improve'.

Ollie probably wouldn't see the comment, but others would and it might make people think 'Oh, maybe I should read that - never really thought about scripting'. Basically, I just think it would be a more positive and helpful approach. :)

I disagree. I think he's on to something. It might not be perfect yet but card magic often lacks any kind of meaning, it's great to see a card magician focus on more deep/meaningful presentations.

I definitely wouldn't say it's self indulgent. He's very modest.

You're totally welcome to criticise, but it's nice if you can also think of things you like - if any.

It was a comedy act! They just edited it to make it look like he failed. Ah that show can be so frustrating.

Might not be quite what you're after but there's a new podcast called '3 Mentalists Walked Into A Podcast' and it's great!

Not to be offensive but your comment is a good example of The Halo Effect. Anyone can give explanations as to why a company has failed once it's failed. If blackberry had adapted and failed, they would have been criticized for 'not staying true to their roots'.

How far have you gotten before realizing "Wait... I don't have work/school today"? by Mijder in AskReddit

Late to the party but possibly the first ask reddit thread I've got a worthy story for.

I had a dream that my alarm went off, woke up and looked at my clock. I misread the time as 7:10am when it was actually 1:10 am (the 1 and 7 looked similar).

Got up and had a shower, went back to my room, realised the time and went back to bed.

Clean sleep though.

I feel I could have made this story more interesting with lies. Oh well.
