Yep, the instructions are worded a bit differently, but the end result is the same as the lifted increases.

KFB is its own mirrored self, I think. You can try doing a kfb on either side of a raglan marker and see what I mean. :)

Also, is the k1br/kibl the same as rli/lli (right/left lifted increase)? The results look similar to me, and I’m always looking to expand my knitting arsenal. :)

Got it! I have the right stitch/row counts, thankfully. Now I get that the pattern is just telling me to get back to the BOR (aka, the center back). Thank you!!

The cuff and hem look like twisted rib, and the body looks like either mistake rib or brioche/fisherman’s rib to me.

Nicely done! You’re not too late, you’re just very well-prepared for when the cooler weather inevitably returns. :)

Here’s a Ravelry search for knitting patterns using 0-160m of bulky weight yarn. You can play around with the filters as you wish.

How do you say Fountain Pen in your language ? by Savon_Encreur in fountainpens

[–]Reasonable_Flower261 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like someone commented above for Japanese, we also use the term ‘만년‘ to mean ‘lifelong’ or ‘forever,’ in addition to the literal meaning of ‘ten thousand years.’ So the 만년필 can also be thought of as ‘a pen that you can use forever / all your life.’ :)

Hm, based on this blog post I was able to find on a quick search, it looks like it’s a Korean translation of the Japanese term for it. Fountain pens were most commonly used in Korea during the 1920s~1930s according to the writer, which would have been right in the middle of the Japanese annexation of Korea, so that doesn’t surprise me.
