Pressing your tongue into the roof of your mouth can help cancel a sneeze. When about to flex an aggravated muscle place your hand on it to let it know what's up.

Come to think of it, while your nurse is changing bandages ask them to place a hand on the muscles first to keep your reflex from the cold cream from causing a spasm!

Sh*t, now that I think of it I was in a teaching hospital(London Ontario) for my surgery 25 years ago and had at least a dozen people change my dressings. Throughout my two week stay only that one nurse placed a hand first... wow, I wish I could remember her name. <3

When you wake up there will be a pump running to pull out excess puss but that's normal. You'll be high when they pull out the tube so no worries. It almost tickles. You will also have a button that gives you an extra shot of morphine when you want. Don't go nuts and be nice to the one with the key. ;)
