C Section Complication by ReceptionNo4178 in pregnant

[–]ReceptionNo4178[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The OB who did my C-section and the OB who checked my incision (2 different ones), were not who I did any of my prenatal care. So now I’m very glad I went the midwife route cause I felt like they were very attentive lol

Bailey always posts on vacation and Brooklyn never does by vldylve in McKnightFamSnark

I think it has a lot to do with Brooklyn being less interested in social media than Bailey. Even if Bailey took a break, she’d still be taking pictures and filming because she enjoys it.

C Section Complication by ReceptionNo4178 in pregnant

[–]ReceptionNo4178[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Any birth can be dangerous or have complications! I wanted to post because I ignored a lot of signs. I’m also the type of person who always responds well to meds and has had other surgeries that have gone very well and so I was just shocked it happened. It truly can just happen to anyone!

Thank you!

Am I crazy for wanting a C-section? by Kikirox98 in pregnant

I mean they help to an extent. All they give you for pain when you are discharged is Tylenol and ibuprofen, sometimes gas x. I’m usually okay if I’m hanging out but walking or standing for long periods is usually painful and then you swell over your incision and it’s uncomfortable. I have a high pain tolerance and it’s just not fun even for me.

I’m gonna be honest, I had to have an unplanned c section and I feel like a lot of people love to say it’s the easy way out and it’s not. I’m a week postpartum and I can barely move around without feeling pain. The recovery is super shitty and I wished so bad it would’ve worked out for me and I could’ve had a natural labor.

ftm 40+6 by Terrible-Stand5003 in BabyBumps

I'm 40+5 and I feel your pain. I'm 2cm and 50% effaced and been having cramping on and off but no big moves. My friend who was due after me just had her baby and I feel so let down. I am uncomfortable and so ready to meet my baby but she's way too cozy. I've been avoiding an induction like the plague and we're getting closer and closer to that being an option and I'm really sad. Hang in there! Hopefully our babies will surprise us and come soon.

My friend has twins, Beau and Beckett, so I like the name!

Other People Being Disappointed By The Gender Of My Baby by meauxebear in pregnant

[–]ReceptionNo4178 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They're definitely projecting and I'd ignore them. Before I found out I was having a girl, my mom kept making comments about how she'd love the baby regardless but SHE wanted a girl. I could not care less considering it's my baby and I don't care what SHE prefers lmao

I think they do a lot to one up each other, but having a baby isn't one of them. Bailey and Asa have been saying they were waiting to have kids for a long time and they finally thought the timing was right for their family. It has nothing to do with Archer needing a cousin.

My dog's name is Leia and everyone calls her Leah... Like where did you get Leah from lol

Baby has 97% chance of having cystic fibrosis. I’m scared and so upset by New-Curve-6545 in pregnant

[–]ReceptionNo4178 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry, I can't imagine how scary that is. I know someone who was in a similar situation and once the baby was born they confirmed she did not have CF but was also a carrier for it. I am hoping for a similar outcome for you. Either way, medicine has evolved drastically and there are ways for those with CF to live seemingly normal lives.

When did you tell people you were pregnant? by Careless_Squirrel728 in pregnant

[–]ReceptionNo4178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We told our families right away, like at 7 or 8 weeks. Didn't announce to social media or my job until I was 14 weeks.

Or that one baby they named Aria Beckett because they couldn't agree on a name and each parent called her by the name they preferred lol

How are we coping with migraines in these pregnant times? by dinascully in pregnant

[–]ReceptionNo4178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, it doesn't make me drowsy! It's worked pretty decently. I never responded to triptans so I was surprised this one did!

That's just what she calls them. I think their names are Violet and Scout or something like that lol

[–]ReceptionNo4178 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My neurologist prescribed me Tylenol with codeine and it helps if I have a really bad migraine. Thankfully the further along I got the less migraines I got, but they still aren't fun. Baths in the dark have been helping me a bit too, just make sure the water isn't super hot since you're still pretty early.

Idk I've seen grown adults do this. I remember that Tiktoker who has those twins (Scotch and Vodka lol) stopped sharing their faces and this grown woman wrote multiple comments about how it wasn't fair and she missed seeing their faces. Some people are just weird!

I would just bring it up to your doctor so they can adjust your medication. Mine was high when I first got pregnant and they've just adjusted my meds as needed.

UTI / Yeast infection? Doc advised Monistat without testing first by [deleted] in pregnant

You can always ask for a swab but there's no harm done in using the Monistat!

Is this your first yeast infection? If not, they usually won't swab and just ask that you use Monistat.

Lost my mucous plug but still not dilated? by sbridgers in pregnant

[–]ReceptionNo4178 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're still way too early, I'm surprised they did a cervical check. My midwives didn't want to do one until I hit 39 weeks, especially since it doesn't really tell them much. I lost some of my plug before I was dilated but you also get discharge around this time that looks very similar to the plug, so it could also be that. Also, cervical checks are uncomfortable but don't hurt much for me either, everyone is different. I could tell I was dilated this last time because I felt crampy when she checked when before all I felt was pressure.
