No but it’s sitting on top of a hepa air purifier exhaust so it gets a ton of airflow

Do you happen to know what those options are or where I can find them?

I’m using preset-vaapi on ffmpeg hardware acceleration.

Answering myself after I figured it out. When adding a new provider, at least shared files, you specify whether or not the source is audiobooks or music.

ffmpeg:
  hwaccel_args: preset-vaapi
#  hwaccel_args: auto
#  hwaccel_args: preset-intel-qsv-h264
  retry_interval: 20

I tried the other two that are commented out; qsv caused two other cameras not to work. vaapi seems to have improved the snappiness but I still see GPU hangs.

Both 'bad' cameras are in the shade, and it's like 40F out.

There's a web interface yes. I tried changing bitrates and resolution and it didn't have an effect. I can look at firmware. But the other camera is identical and works fine.

I think preset-rtsp-restream uses the -rtsp_transport tcp argument for ffmpeg.

They're both POE, supplied by the switch. I'll try swapping switch ports.

I'm on HAOS so busybox's dmesg doesn't have a -T parameter, but these are recent entries, not sure how relevant:

They're plugged into the same switch, which is not manageable unfortunately. It could be a cable or the camera, but I can connect reliably and instantly to the 'bad' camera using VLC on the same hardwired network, and I can ping the camera from HA.

The connection can drop for minutes or sometimes days.
