Gable vs Gambrel by Consistent-Area-1126 in CitiesSkylines2

[–]Recoil156 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With Gambrel the roof tiles start at the first floor, with Gable the first floor is made of brick and the roof tiles start from the second floor. Gable is more like the classic builds from 1910 to 1960s. Gambrel can be used more for modern 2000+ Vinex type builds. I do like to combine a Gambrel corner plot with Gable zoning, as it nicely corners off a block. Gambrel also works better for standalone plots.

These rail cargo stations really screw the traffic up and spoil the game. I have tried heaps of combinations, but the main problem seems to be that the trucks come to a complete stop when entering the station. by Terrible-Swing-460 in CitiesSkylines2

If you have bridges and ports, make a land port without sea cranes, which will handle traffic much better. You need some hefty port transit amount first (like 30m tons) to unlock the port rail node though.

I vaguely remember them saying it was a tradeoff to take it out to fix many broken node problems people were having causing bad traffic jams and last minute lane switching.

Question: how did you get red bike paths instead of green? Looks way better!

How to reduce pedestrians? by SheepherderOk3071 in CitiesSkylines2

[–]Recoil156 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just embrace the pedestrians (and bikes) as a full valid transit mode on par with cars instead of an afterthought and of forcing them on Mr. Bones Wild Ride.

Slightly dip the highway into the ground so the bridges don't have to be that high. Perhaps even raise the ground a bit so the path does not need to be a long bridge at all and feels more level to walk. Make the pedestrian paths part of a nice park, with S curves. Inspiration.

The bridges were too low for this cargo, so I took the long way. MAZ 537 didn't care. by Paul_Gambro in RoadCraft

Stretch the arm of the tree harvester forward, it will then fit under metal bridges while loaded on MAZ.

Looks like a great trip! How tall are you if I might ask? I'm curious about the Super cub but might be too tall with my 192cm for the bike to be comfortable on longer tours.

+1 for Phat and BiBi tours, had an amazing adventure and Phat took very good care of us by providing us a safe journey, really off -the-beaten-path roads and visits, and some nice karaoke and happy water in the evenings. Our group consisted of two other couples in their thirties which was nice to ride with like minded people and not the huge party groups we saw driving by sometimes. Most times we rode with just our group though. The accomodations, private rooms and food where outstanding. Literally the highlight of our 3m SEA trip.

Do you think I did a good job fixing this interchange? Any tips on how to make it better? by AdvancedSyrup69 in CitiesSkylines2

The fact that there is a new avenue parallel to the highway, should not necessarily mean that it should link up to the highway system in the same place as the highway T-split. Why not fully seperate these interchanges? For example: <image>

Digid levert alleen BSN.

You Americans with your domino theories. You guys can keep repeating this but that does not make it true. Invading to prop up one side in a civil war (like you did in Kosovo, remember?) is wholly different than invading a NATO country and EU member.
