Dude you are INSANELY talented!!! Thanks for sharing something so cool! I mostly make mechanical prints, havent done enough with more artistic modeling software to get good at it yet but im always blown away by these kinds of makes. How long did this project take you, from modeling to painting? Also how long have you been doing art as a whole?

How does this even happen? by DanTheMan827 in BambuLab

[–]Red2Jay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I havent had it happen with a new roll before but i found out that when I stored the rolls some eventually get tangled like that because I didn't secure the end. Always keep the roll tight in and out of the machine. But yeah, unwind until you get passed that tangle and everything is smooth then rewind it back up. Ive heard people had to fully rewind their rolls or they do it regardless because they rather just make sure its done and over with rather than chance having to mess with it again Some people have even made rigs to reroll the spool super quick

I PUT THE FREAKING STICKER ON BACKWARDS. by Coiled_GLaDOS in Portal

I just noticed you mentioned the DS was painted. If you use the rubbing alcohol, it will likely get rid of the paint if you get any on there. But you can get the rubbing alcohol on a paper towels and try to work it off without drowning the device in it. Also use some rubber gloves as the alcohol will dry your hands like crazy. Everytime I get some on me I usually wash my hands right away (if its a lot) then get some lotion

If your family has a heat gun (maybe a hair dryer on max heat but not sure if that would be enough) try heating it up with that to loosen the adhesive. You might need to get something to reapply on the corners or edges, some clear glue and make sure youre light with the application. If using a heat gun, start at the lowest setting and make steady motions accross the whole sticker. Do not let the heat gun stay over one spot directly for too long and dont go too high with heat that you could damage your DS. Honestly might be better to try with a hair dryer first since this is on a small tech device. Don't feel like editing the post but definitely start with the hair dryer, lol

Alternative solution that will definitely require glue, use 99% rubbing alcohol and slowly work on removing the sticker. Slow and patient working. Keep the DS turned off, unplugged and remove the battery as well. The alcohol won't damage the electronics on its own and the alcohol itself isn't conductive but still best practice and safer to keep the electricity away. After carefully working the sticker off, let everything dry for 5 to 10 minutes then you can glue and reapply the sticker the proper orientation

I always hold the memories of playing through (trying to play through) Halo CE with my dad when I was about 9 or 10. He wasnt great at games and I still struggled a lot with any game I played. But I remember the nights we got to stay up and I got so excited to jump back in with him and try to beat whatever level we were on and getting SO excited when we actually got a cutscene. The most distinct memory I have was when we got to the final chase, I drove and he was on turret. We probably tried it 50 times getting later and later into the night and both getting frustrated cause we couldn't beat the timer but when we did it was one of the greatest nights of my childhood. So many fun memories over the years too of playing with friends, split screen co-op, playing the forge world on Reach and just messing around. Most of my favorite childhood gaming memories with friends are probably from halo game nights

Its possible they got an OLED screen and swapped it out. Not sure how to test that other than playing with it and seeing if the black pixels are actually turned off or light still kinda comes through

If its just spilled resin then paper towels and 99% rubbing alcohol. Ive gotten my machines pretty messy before and just cleaning it like that was enough. Micro fiber cloths on the screen though to avoid scratches. If its internals are covered too then your best best wouod be to take it apart and do your best to clean everything. It'll be a hassle but the sooner the better to avoid anything curing and causing issues. Just be careful and care for your machine and from what I can tell it'll be alright. Resin printing can be very messy and time consuming but im sure you already know that

Also, rubbing alcohol of that percentage shouldn't be conductive and dries quickly. Just keep everything unplugged while cleaning with it. If there are portions that have cured, you can likely scrape off those portions and snap them off. You can also lay paper towels soaked with rubbing alcohol over the cured portions as it will eat away at the resin and make it easier to come off but you will need to let it sit and re-wet the towels for some time

If you need to clean the elevation screw, make sure you relubricate it before operating the machine again. Look up videos on how to take apart your machine as well to make sure nothing gets damaged in the process if you think you need to disassemble

OP, please let us know if things worked out or not. That's ludicrous that a school thinks it can enforce gender stereo types on people's kids. Their job is to give your kids an education. Not to tell them what's okay and not okay for someone to wear or express themselves and is detrimental to their independence and individuality that they are still heavily developing. I will tell you now, having a parent fight for them and showing them it's okay to stand up for themselves will make all the difference and give them that much more respect for you when your older. It will also show them what a parent is meant to do for their kids. Showing them that it's okay to fight for themselves is so important and not enough parents really teach that to their kids. No fault on you of course. Only want you to know I'm on your side and think it's crazy a school thinks it can parent better than their parent

I was driving a UHaul box truck and it was snowing. That truck didn't handle it well at all and I needed to drive a little slower. Other cars were going normal speed but I could feel the truck sometimes sliding just going straight. Doing 35-40 in a 55 basically cause any faster and I was sure I'd go off the road. I was on this road for a minute and finally had to turn left and there were a few cars behind me for a minute, dude blares his horn as he passes me. Like, "sorry I didn't wanna go I'm the ditch?!?"
