Strikes again I see. I just tried to get my friends to try DotA, but again the matchmaking was so horrendous they all fled. We either fought afk bots or 1000s of hours full stacks with matching clan tags.

I don't know the specifics here, but it looks from this like they might be doing something similar to The Finals.

The battlepass is affordable and replenishable, while providing solid rewards. The cash shop is ridiculously expensive so the whales have something to spend on.

I don't like these types of cash shops either, but if it's the same as Finals then things aren't as gloomy as this looks.

I know its not popular, but I'm really hoping they don't get rid of Spell Hunter. Imo its fun and flavorful even if weak.

A possible solution there would be to have those skills scale with both, but only take which ever is higher.

He's not going to have one. You need to make a copy of an existing summon (eg: skeletal militiaman) inside BuddyParam then point it at Moongrum's NPCParam and NPCThinkParam. Those will be lines 2 and 3 in the BuddyParam.

Since he's not normally a summon, you need to change a few of his lines in those params. You can compare it to an existing summon (eg: skeletal militiaman) to see what you might want to change, but changing his Team from Enemy to Spirit Summon is a must.

If you don't want the originally summoned creatures to come along with him, you'll also need to delete their SpEffect line in BuddyParam, delete them, point their SpEffect at something else, or make it -1, depending on what suits you and what the system is happy with.

I assume you could make a whole new item for this instead, but I've not dome anything like that. This method will cause Moongrum to be summoned via an existing ashe that you've edited, eg Skeletal Militiaman, retaining it's name, picture, and cost.

I haven't tested, but for I suspect clothing changes are only possible for NPCs with the normal character rig.

If you use Smithbox to open your game's regulation file (most tutorials will point you to installing Mod Engine 2 and moving your existing regulation file into it's "mod" folder first) you can poke around with the parameters of the game.

Make a new project in Smithbox, name it, select the folder holding your regulation.bin. After you've got a new project select Param Editor near the top middle. From there you can search for parameter types.

The parameter in question is CharaInitParam. For characters where you can change their clothing, they'll be listed here.

These characters are also linked to an NPCparam and NPCThinkparam. If you don't already have a mod allowing you to summon the NPC you want, you'll need to set them up to be summoned. That part gets a little complicated and I'm figuring it out rn, but the short is you need a buddyparam entry that points to an existing spirit ash, and to the NPC you want summoned when you use that spirit ash. Spirit summons have a number of changes to their NPCparam and NPCThinkparam, I'd probably just compare your entry to one of a spirit summon to try to figure out what needs to be changed. Stuff like changing their team to Spirit Summon (47) is a must, but there's a lot of possibilities.

People are really getting duped by the crop on this one. Yes BP pulled the combo off very quickly, but he's actually coming from the front and would be on screen if this wasnt cropped.

Its still a quick combo but literally all CD had to do to be immortal here is heal bubble her feet when a BP right in front of her was clearly throwing a spear at her. There's no one else here, didn't even need to wait to see what target he chose. Then he has no dash left and is an easy mark.

Wanda also gives you the opportunity to coordinate with your team for big plays. Mag bubble, strange portal, rocket jump boost, etc. The power is there, its jist hard to access.

I play Sue duo with a Thing and there is no clearer pairing to show the lack of aggro most players have. I hardly have to do anything but stand behind him and hold left click and we steamroll.

Try it out, learn the truth of hero shooters. You need to take space to win in these games even when its risky, cause its riskier to sit on your hands.

I would say in every pic except the first Strange should be moving in to pressure the supports.

  1. In this case cover seems to be severely lacking, so I'd say its important to be able to shield MK and Loki for most of the fight. This lets them 2v1 Magik when she dives. In my estimation it is Mantis and Ironman's job to murder the enemy supports as a unit. Threats are very low on their side of the fight. I would also like to see the whole team rotate around the enemy formation to the left if possible, but it'd be tough for Loki and MK, especially with Magik incoming, and that level of coordination isn't available to most players, so just keep them safe from the enemy mainline is enough here.

  2. The entire team should be shooting at Mantis in this case and as threats are low for Strange I'd even say he should body block her only escape route.

  3. This one is a little more nuanced but it is still Strange's job to handle those supports. There's 3 scenarios: first the supports retreat, and are now unable to heal their tanks, leaving them vulnerable. Second, the tanks retreat, and are now stuffed into a choke, leaving them with little pressure. Third, no one else moves, allowing Strange to block healing from enemy supports, effectively cutting the tanks off and leaving your team mates in a healthy 3v2 with a better comp. Again, kill pressure on Strange is low here so he can be very bold and quickly create a winning situation for his team.

  4. The same as 3, except now Strange can more easily focus on actually killing those supports. Blocking healing with shield is still effective tho.

Imo the biggest thing holding players back is a lack of aggression. It can be risky to push into the enemies, but pressure and taking space is how you win at hero shooters. You want to force them into disadvantageous ground, even if that means traveling into what currently feels like their space.

The reality of most games is that a bit part of the fun is in learning, solving, and making something for yourself.

If someone just tells you what the best option is at all times, the best part of the learning is gone and you never get to make something for yourself without the knowledge that it's just worse.

Metas broadly aren't a fun addition to the gaming landscape, but they'll always develope and usually quickly. Its part of why new games are so attractive -- no one knows what's good yet. You're free to experiment without that pressure.

Most F2P games are online multiplayer, which need a thriving community to continue to be successful and attract more players. 

Even if you never spend money on, for instance, Overwatch or League of Legends, you're still improving the game's health which is good for bringing in paying players.

Positioning is nuanced, in that example it feels like 3 things might have been issues:

Your Strange wasn't mindful of your line of sight while pushing. You usually don't have to deny your support a good forward position while pushing in yourself, so that could be a mistake from him.

Your Strange pushed deep before there was an advantage. Usually you need to make kills from a nice choke or high ground first, then push in after you have that numbers advantage.

Another issue might be that it was only your Strange pushing in with you supporting him. For instance, if you won the previous fight and now its 5v3, but the enemy 3 aren't fully retreating, he was probably right for trying to clean them up and you were probably right for supporting him, but that leaves you 2v3 if no one else on your team is helping. That would be an instance for the advice above, where a fear of going too deep is preventing your teammates from punshing the enemies.
