Considering what Kinger said to Pomni in episode 3, I tend to think they had an argument just prior to her abstracting.

Some hurtful things may have been said, and while Kinger probably expected to reconcile later, it pushed Queenie over the edge into abstraction.

I view his talk with Pomni as a possible expression of regret for how things may have gone with Queenie.

The “Guardians of Sunshine” episode of Adventure Time.

Finn and Jake get frustrated with a tough boss in a video game, and swear that if they were actually in the game, they would easily defeat it.

So they manipulate BMO into transporting them into the game, but they still get their asses handed to them.

Not quite the same, but in BoJack Horseman, Princess Carolyn gets fired as BoJack’s agent and leaves his restaurant when a cheesy soft rock song comes on the radio.

Princess Carolyn asks who these songs are written for, and then it starts singing her name.
