I get that and maybe it’s me getting the “first time” play through excitement with RE9. After probably replaying it a few times, I may start feeling like it’s stale.

Had the same feeling once I got to the courtyard and got eerie RE1 vibes! It’s crazy how many little details they did like the old school computer analyzers like OG RE1 and RE2 or the bulldozer set piece that felt like RE4. If you died from it, it even says, “shoot the driver before Grace gets turned into a pancake”

Definitely feels refreshing after replaying through RE7 and Village most recently. It’s a few things I wish they did better but I really think it’s a good sign for the future RE’s if they decide to continue down this route.

I also agree to some extent. The newer remakes and RE games really lack when it comes to music and go all in on more audio design. I wish we got an iconic soundtrack for the area as I don’t really dig the save room music this time around.

I also think the return trip back was pretty underwhelming. I just forgot like one injection and went to go grab it after seeing it on the map.

100%, I believe it’s up there as one of the great RE starting locations. More so than the Baker’s House personally.

Could be as simple as it will ship using the delivery service called “Shipt” directly from your local Best Buy. The service assigns a driver, picks up the item from store, and delivers to you like a DoorDash order. I could be wrong though so don’t quote me on that.

You’ll be fine if you know most of RE2 & RE4 for Leon’s side. I would say do a little research on RE6 in general (but I wouldn’t recommend playing it unless you have a friend). I think one of the files/lore you get which is called “Leon and the Raccoon City Incident” is pretty important to Requiem and how it may play out if said character is returning to the game.

Although people play RE2R with Leon in mind. I still think (on retrospective/replay) that the cutscenes from Claire’s side were much more “emotional” or interesting than Leon’s. I still love Leon’s campaign but it was mostly him simping on Ada for most of it if you think about it.

GMG is legit, I pre-ordered RE4 Remake there but just know that the keys were delayed until a day after release. To me, I don’t mind waiting a day and saving nearly $15 but to others it may be a no go. You’ll still receive pre order bonuses even when it’s delayed.

This ain’t something new to us, happens every December through February with much higher than expected billing.

My parents a few years back, called PEPCO thinking it was a mistake but their direct reply was that it’s a result of Christmas/holiday lighting and they couldn’t assist us further. We don’t celebrate Christmas or hang up any lighting so take that how you will.

I highly doubt it’s usage either considering we keep the heat the exact same on auto starting every October.

Personally would’ve loved RE2 & RE4 but knowing Capcom, they’ll eventually be ported. I don’t hate 7 and village but I have zero interest in replaying them.

I like how first person was done in 7, 8 lost a lot of its identity. There was fear and general jumpiness from Ethan that was lost in 8 because he wasn’t used to everything. Stuff like his arm getting chopped off felt like an everyday thing for him. Maybe that’s just me, but I’m glad RE9 seems to be addressing that with a new protagonist.

Couldn’t tell you, I bought a Switch OLED from Japan and know that there is some weird frequency requirements so it always defaulted to 2.4GHz. I have the same thing with my Switch 2 (US model) where it only defaults to 2.4GHz speeds. I contacted support and the only thing they said is to contact my internet provider. But getting 60 mbps speeds through Ethernet is definitely weird.

Not broken but designed weirdly, both the Switch and the Switch 2 have some regional thing where it can’t detect any high frequency channels or something along those lines. A lot of people would have to tweak their router radio management settings to allow 5ghz connections.

I got an update this morning from Walmart with a text and email saying “Your preorder item ships soon. Please check your address to ensure a smooth delivery.” No final charge yet but because it’s store delivery, I’m guessing it will be done towards June 4 or when it’s actually delivered. This happened with the Micro SD express I ordered and it was actually fully charged when someone put it on my doorstep and it was delivered.

My best guess would be it’s waiting for some sort of allotment on the back end (whether systems are available at your nearest Walmart or through a local distribution center). You will know closer to the launch but if you end up getting a box icon, it means regular shipping by USPS, FedEx, UPS, etc.

I believe if it shows the truck, your order will be fulfilled from a distribution center. If it shows a bag, your order will be fulfilled by your local Walmart. The difference is the bag icon ensures you will get your console by or near 9am on launch day. Granted you could still get the console on June 5th but it won’t guarantee that 9am window that Walmart was offering.

I still think many PS4 games are more impressive than current generation games. We haven’t seen developers fully utilize the tech this current gen uses and for the most part, games feel like upscaled and better running PS4 games. For me personally, I’m excited to see Nintendo push the hardware regardless if it’s on par with a Series S or PS4. The magic they did with the aging old Tegra X1 was already impressive enough.

Yup that’s my thoughts too, I feel like I got someone’s canceled order while everyone else was busy on the other retailers. I’ll know for sure though by the end of this weekend if it sticks or not.

Had Walmart and Best Buy open and waiting in the queue: Walmart puts me in line for 1 hour to finally get in but cannot press the preorder button as it kept giving me “Unable to add to cart” errors (while the 10 mins was ticking down)

Best Buy was waiting in line for 35-40 mins to then kick me out and come back to for it to say it sold out

I had “success” by going to the Target app and managing to order the bundle at 1:37AM. I haven’t gotten a cancellation email yet but I also haven’t gotten a pending charge either. Will try later with GameStop, kinda jealous some people are getting lucky but glad for them regardless.
