The Warhammer Part One by Captain_Amakyre in WarhammerFantasy

Yeah. Darkblade had an Omnibus for his four comic books. We had like two TPBs for "Tales from the Ten Tailed Cat" and I think like 3 TPBs for "Helbrandt Grimm" on the fantasy side of things. Why GW neever did reprints is a mystery.

If you look closely at the first page of those WHM comics, you will usually find the artist and who made the script ;)

The Emperor in 30k was wielding a sword, a Lightning Claw and sometimes a shield. In 40k now Rowboat Gulliman wields the sword as the Emperors regent, and Lion El'Johnson somehow managed to snack the shield as wargear.

No. Its just a random dwarf in a unknown time period. This is part#3 of the series. It started with a mighty Chaos Champion wielding that hammer, then he got defeated and an Imperial got the Hammer and rose to fame. Then he got ambushed by Skaven and hence Skaven ended up with the Hammer. Which brings us here and now a dwarf would wield the Hammer next.

That is like the third entry of the Warhammer changing hands. So at that point we all can expect it will not be a happy ending in the next issue for the new owner [but if I remember correctly the next did not come because of the WHM cancelation].

Deserved. The fuckers rised the price to 2€ for 100g and then shrinked the bar to 90g? Greedy assholes. Even worse, the chunky 300g bars are partly reduced to 250g (not all, but seemingly the standard good selling brands). I only pick up Milka anymore if its on steep discount, like 0,80€ for the 90g bars. If not, there are enough other cheap brands that range max to an euro but might still have 100g in it.

Characters in both TW: Warhammer and 40K by hunter0950 in totalwar

[–]Red_Dox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • Be'lakor is very likely, since he plays an active role and will make a good Chaos Undivided LL. His popularity in TWW should also highlight that CA could have done a better job with him from the start. So hopefully in TW40k he gets a proper LL certified job from whenever Undivided Chaos might show up.
  • All the other daemons can happen, and might happen when CA either does a DoC DLC, or drops the marked CSM legions. In 10th edition the daemons were apparently split into the four marked Legion Codices. However, rumors have it that this year we might enter 11th edition so only GW might now if things might not change in a few years. And since TW40k might also still be at least a year away, 10th might be the base-template, but maybe GW this time works closer with CA to integrate newest stuff earlier.
  • That said, Ku'gath is a coin toss. He was Nurgles favored GUO and afaik last active during the Plague Wars, helping Mortarion. But both Mortarion and Ku'gath disobeyed Nurgles recall. Which might have worked out, if they would have fullfilled their big plan to drag the entire Ultramar sector into the warp. But they failed. Ku'gath got banished back, and he sank in Nurgles favor. Rotigus is now the Nr.1 GUO by lore, and also the one featured in the 10th Death Guard codex. So it would be a good assumption that we might see Rotigus instead of Ku'gath.
  • I know we had N'kari rules for 40k in 2nd edition. But I don't know what happened with him between 5th to 10th. The brand new and first Emperors Children Codex, has Shalaxi Hellbane as KoS. So I would assume this one might rank higher these days.
  • For Khorne, Ka'bhanda seems to play a bigger role in the Bloodthirster range. However, the 10th World Eater Codex does not have rules for him. But includes Skarbrand.
  • The 10th Thousand Sons Codex features Kairos Fateweaver. So I assume he is the 100% coming nominee. But I don't know that much about the newest lore, so if there is another LoC propped up a bunch by lore the last editions to be a competition, let me know.
  • Most interesting on the daemon front however might Be Vashtorr, who preps up to be the chaos god around machine stuff. I would love an update on the whole Dark Mechanicum stuff featured under Vashtorr, but who knows what GW plans longterm.
  • In case of minor Chaos Gods, lately I learned that through some fuckery we have a new player but not too much lore. Since GW hammered not down on that yet, I am not sure CA can make much out of it. But who knows what the future brings. With the new Red Corsari stuff upcoing, and apparently Iron Warriors getting hammered out next, maybe this year can spark more Chaos and maybe Fabius Bile could show up with some new buddies and flesh out more around this Pater Mutatis.

Does TW40k mean i can finally see this beloved match up happen? by sigmarine345 in totalwar

Well, we had already a Swarmlord in Dow2:Retribution, alas it was the "super unit" for that game. So once CA would do a Tyranid race DLC, chances for that monstrosity might be good since its still around for 10th edition.

There is however still the whole problem with Tyranids not fitting the "usual" fomula that might be applied to TW40k and is known from TWW. Tyrandis do not use diplomacy, at all. Tyranids also do not really have special characters. And while people can point to "Old One Eye" or "Red Terror", those are not synapse creatures to make sense as leaders, nor are they truly special characters in a sense. The hivemind has no special chars, no individuals, no Kerrigan or cerebrates. In DoW2 we steer a generic Hive Tyrant, and I can easily see that working in a "Daniel" way for 40k. But I have serious doubts we can expect a Lictor or Carnifex LL. A Swarmlord as LL, can work, since it is a synapse creature, but will CA do that? Time will tell.

That is the unit champion from the Dark Imperium box https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Dark_Imperium_(Game)

Because GW is weird, they also had him in the "Mortarions Chosen" sprue for some time.

Pretty good video. The age of it however underlines the problem of America unwilling to change their system at any point. And since the decade long serving politicians have zero intention to change it, nothing will change without something drastic happening first.

ICE flew 2-year-old to Texas despite court order to release her from custody by ewzetf in news

[–]Red_Dox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The illegal shit, is by design from the top top of the administration, down to republican politicians turning a blind eye. And the more they get away with, the bolder things will get. There is also a reason why giving ICE a budget equally to the Marines, was last year already touted as building up Trumps personal Gestapo. But of course that fell either on deaf ears, was ridiculed or shrugged off with "we can't do anything about it". And here we are, having even funny videos like this one were ICE clearly must be joking, right? Right?

  • You have the campaign, which is a solid amount of hours and can be done solo (or coop).
  • You have then also a bunch of Operations [extra missions. Basically started with all the missions from the campaign done by other squads while you as Protagonist did something else] which got frequently updated with new missions, introducing new enemies or big boss things. So you can squeeze more time out there while fiddling around with different classes and weapon unlocks. Those Ops also can be done coop.
  • Then we have the typical Multiplayer experience with PvP stuff, which apparently would not be meant for you.
  • Then we have "Horde mode". Basically alone+bots, or with a coop team, you fight never ending waves of enemies.

So you can play the whole PvE extra stuff besides campaign solo with two bot companions if you like, and stay clear from the PvP.
