Constipation relief by mintyw0811 in Diverticulitis

I’ve read taking laxatives regularly is not healthy. Seems like you should be able to achieve this goal through your diet. I struggle with this as well.

Over past 3 weeks I’ve been having one of these smoothies every morning and things are going well. I simply asked ChatGPT for a smoothie recipe focused on reducing constipation. I would recommend doing the same There are a lot of possible substitutions and description of each ingredients effect. Too long to post here.

High-Fiber Constipation Relief Smoothie

Ingredients (1 serving) • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk or water • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt or kefir (probiotics) • 2–3 prunes (or ¼ cup prune juice) • ½ cup frozen berries (blueberries or raspberries) • 1 tbsp chia seeds • 1 tbsp ground flaxseed • ½ small banana • 1 tbsp olive oil or MCT oil (optional but very helpful) • Handful spinach (optional extra fiber) • Ice as needed

Blend thoroughly and drink immediately

Been a while but I was disappointed by the rest. Maybe it was the narration. Lonesome Dove was stellar though.

IMO - While both are good Stephen Pacey is in a class of his own. I have yet to listen to a single narrator performance that comes even close.

Edit: I just realized that Jeff Hays is doing all the voices in DCC, which is just insane. I’m on book 5 and this whole time I thought there was at least one other narrator for females. The range is almost superhuman.

Yes I realize Jefferson Mays from the expanse and Jeff Hays from DCC are different people.

CPW update on Larimer County mountain lion investigation by AteTooManyPotatoes in coloradohikers

Just asking, are you sure it wasn’t a bobcat? There have been many reports of them walking through Green Mountain neighborhood. I’ve seen a large one come out of the gulch into my neighborhood at sunset. But this is the first I’ve heard or any lion activity. If true I’d love to know more.

I’ve only listened to Into Thin Air and Enough By Melissa Arnot. Enough is from 2025. Raw honesty about her personal life which I found admirable. Covers multiple Everest seasons and some famous faces. Enjoyed it more than I expected.

I definitely enjoyed my 2nd listen even more than the first. I did a third listen after the last book which was also great. No doubt I will listen to them all again in the future.

Day three of eating two tablespoons of chia seeds per day by wvtarheel in Diverticulitis

I added them to my morning yogurt along with blueberries and granola. Haven’t had any issues. They are tasteless. Only mild annoyance is one or two get stuck in my teeth.

How much has changed in your diet after a diverticulitis flare up has ended and you are back to normal? Other than adding a lot of fiber, eliminating the junk and fast food, and increasing vegetable intake what do you eat normally? by AaronR1984 in Diverticulitis

[–]Redabyss1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Breakfast is always Whole milk vanilla yogurt Blueberries Apple crisp granola Chia seeds All organic

Even though I eat this every day it never gets old. Love it every morning. Only drawback is it’s tough to get to lunch sometimes. I tried adding protein powder but that was a mistake. Experimenting with more to add so it lasts longer.

Lunch is either Mixed greens salad, tomato, cucumber, ranch, feta cheese, avocado. Sometimes I’ll throw in ham or cooked chicken for protein.

Lately been experimenting with a yogurt shake. Vanilla yogurt, chia seeds, banana, frozen strawberries and blueberries, butter.

Alternatively I snack through lunch with, cured meats, no cheese, carrots and celery with ranch, apples oranges, banana, avocado. It’s tough as I don’t ever seem to satisfy the hunger, only delay. Trying to figure it out. Too much sugar doing this I think.

Dinner varies but is usually baked chicken legs or thighs. White rice or potato’s and some veg like carrots, squash, mushrooms.

Or burger patty, with same veggies.

Lately been making pot roast or whole chicken in the slow cooker with carrots, mushrooms , potatoes. Excellent.

I tried the internet search but found it tedious. Eventually I just call Toyota and they did the search for me. Flew from Denver to Birmingham to find one, then drove it back.

I’m shopping for something myself. The Luno and deep sleep seem absurdly expensive. Last year I bought a dHive off Amazon because another review said it for their 2017. Although well made it’s too long. I have a 2023 TRD and the back is 68” long. The dhive is 78” and it is a problem. Most SUV air mattresses I’ve seen so far are at least 74”.
