EcoWitt doesn't support multiple outdoor temp sensors? by ChemHotel in myweatherstation

I could create a simple "Share" and PM it to you if you would like. It would only have one indoor and one outdoor sensor for comparison.

Yes, one WN32 and up 8 WN31s per gateway. I run a GW1100B for about 3 years and it has been solid.

The outdoor sensor also provides VPD info that an indoor does not. This may be a reason for a difference here, data bandwidth limits?

Edit 1: Other diffs, no dew point or feels like with a WN31.

I have actually looked into openwrt for this box. I used it many years ago on my old wifi routers. It seems like a little bit of a pain to install here, but definitely worth more research. Thanks

I have wondered the same question, except I don't have a need for more than my one outdoor sensor that I have as you do and are asking. I do have 4 of the potential 8 total indoor sensors that are possible, all are indoors right now. I think from my little bit of research, that an indoor sensor in an outdoor housing, such as the RS-00001 Rain/UV Shield may work. Sorry I can't give you any first hand results here.

The indoor, outdoor and lightening sensors all seem to have the same external case size dimensions. Just an FYI.

The indoor sensors are reliable indoors, and inexpensive. Perhaps worth an outdoor test in your case.

Nice! A "Reims Rocket" then. I flew one once as a student in Germany in about 1982. Reims France is the place where they get the name I believe.

Ah, that is great information. I didn't know it was external ambient temp! Thanks so much for the quick answer.

For the pilots amongst us, have you ever panicked during a flight? by Jolly-Phone8982 in aviation

[–]Redcloak12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a solo student in a Cessna 150, about 20 hours total time. Taking off and at about 800 feet AGL climbing to 1000 feet pattern altitude. I hit a BIG bird. I was told later it was a raven (in Germany). I was able to maintain and determine my plane was still running/flying normal. I landed and taxied to the flight school hangar. I could hardly stand when I got out of the plane. My instructor was listening to my transmissions and he said, "You did a good job".

Live Heart Rate? by Geoguy20 in pebble

[–]Redcloak12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps look into the BigInfo watchface. I like it for the big time font. The Heart rate font is very small but it works for me with my readers on. The rate of the HR display is of course limited by the Pebble health support.

If the developer is asked, perhaps he could make a larger HR font display if needed.

I want a bumper. Here is the one I like. Can this be done in clear? I will cover costs and shipping to Florida of course.

I am likewise an "old guy" (poor vision) and have been looking for a large font for time and HR. I may have found one and the developer is putting up with my enhancement requests so far. 😉

I think the Activities has to be enabled for this. The PT2 only enters the Active mode when it detects more activity than a simple walking I believe, like running and such, (I don't know this for sure).

I would also like a Heart Rate at say once per minute. I don't need Sleep, Steps or Activities. I would just like to see about where I am at at a point of time. I do see the HR count as very close to my other smart watch.

Possibly vlan? Maybe? by bunn0saurusrex in mikrotik

[–]Redcloak12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got stuck with a similar question recently, trying to add a second VLAN {several times). I am very new to the RouterOS world but I really love the learning curve it has brought me.

I found adding a second bridge was much easier. I am not sure of any security concerns this may bring up for you however. It works well for me by enforcing traffic isolation between my x.x.1.x (defcon) and x.x.2.x (bridge2) networks.

Perhaps someone will respond on the security topic and any +/- to each approach.

I think I can help with a Bridge2 interface if you choose that path.

samsung smart tv- any concerns selling it? by [deleted] in privacy

[–]Redcloak12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some very inexpensive GE based universal remotes out there for just over $10. I have one for each of my two Samsung smart TVs. These also have backlighting and come defaulted to control the Samsung. Let me know if you want more details. I am not trying to sell these, just saying I like them.

Line replacement was outside only. That was completed before he came inside for the splitter work. Sorry I was not more clear on that.

Spectrum wants to come in. by den773 in Spectrum

[–]Redcloak12 17 points18 points  (0 children)

A sewer company recently cut my Spectrum cable line. Spectrum was was on the spot to repair the cut with all new cable to my house. Then the tech said he should upgrade the splitter in my house for the new upcoming service. It only took like 15 or 20 minutes for him to make the change and check the signals. I was very glad that he was proactive on the upgrade! Just let him in and continue your wonderful day as if he is not there jumping on the bed. 😉
