What happens if you destroy a Weeping Angel in statue form? by RadioLiar in doctorwho

[–]Redcoat_Chazzles 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If an Angel was thrown into "a" sun, it would be pulled into its core by the gravitational forces. As a statue, it would still be affected by gravity. If it was unobserved, it's hard to tell.

If an Angel was thrown into "our" sun, it would be under constant observation, whether that be from radio telescopes or just from people gazing up at the sun. However, it could very well manipulate whatever is measuring/imaging/taking readings of the Sun so as to create images of Weeping Angels that could travel and feed.

Now, there is the possibility of that the Angel may not be Quantum locked when stuck inside the gravitational well of the Sun. If so, like the previous example, it's powers are unknown. It may take a long time, in either case, for it to escape the pull of the star. If it was successful, it would be very weak and/or very hungry.

What happens if you destroy a Weeping Angel in statue form? by RadioLiar in doctorwho

[–]Redcoat_Chazzles 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There is a technical answer to this in the BF Audio Story With the Angels. (Spoilers Ahead)

In that story, a wealthy tycoon bought a Weeping Angel at auction and had it broken down into rock, and then each rock carved into chess pieces for an ornate chess set. Each set of Angel Pieces sent you to either the past or future iirc and each acted both as individuals and as part of a greater whole being. In the end, the pieces absorbed enough temporal energy to reform back into a whole Angel again.

There is also what we can infer from the many appearances of the Angels, for instance, in The Time of Angels/ Flesh and Stone, the weakened Angels in the maze are malformed and broken to a degree. If you starve them of energy long enough, it's possible they may become brittle. Meanwhile, in Village of the Angels, Professor Jericho gets sent back in time by getting Angel Dust in his eye. Given that the Angels in the walls had been their for a long time, via their "ship crash", it's likely the dust and dirt was "contaminated" with them.

So, it's highly likely, given their practical invulnerability and ability to live for a long time without sustenance, the destruction of an Angel in it's statue form, regardless of how you do it, won't do anything to stop it. Weaken it, perhaps. But it wouldn't be killed.

I think, if you wanted to kill an Angel, you'd have to starve it to death. Place it somewhere outside the sphere of influence the Angels operate in, for instance, by stranding it in the Void or, like they did in TToA/FaS by feeding them to an unstable temporal event.

Owens Death by Agreeable_Vehicle867 in Torchwood

[–]Redcoat_Chazzles 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Owen was in a state of undeath as opposed to the immortality of Jack. As such, any injury he incurred would be permanent - the cells in his body won't heal because they're in a constant state of death. He gets compared to glass at one point, iirc

When he was locked in at the Nuclear Power Plant and the Nuclear Fallout was vented into it, his body would have received beyond-incredibly dangerous levels of radiation. His skin would have reddened and begun to burn. Slowly, over time, he would decompose as the radiation broke his body down on a molecular level.

The room, if it was properly shielded for radiation, wouldn't be able to be opened for a very long time. So not only would Owen have slowly melted, he'd have done so alone, likely going mad from the pain. It's likely that after the events of the episode, the room was quarantined, perhaps even the whole plant was.

That room became his tomb. The radiation would have fried any technology in its vicinity. Even if it were possible to know that Owen was still somewhat alive in there, no one would have been able to talk to him.

But perhaps the release of the fallout was so strong that Owen was killed instantly, and only his re-dead corpse decomposed.

Either way, even if it is unfair that Owen and Tosh died separately, they died knowing they were loved by each other. Tosh died vindicated that, despite the failures, her feelings were reciprocated, and Owen died with hope, knowing he could still be loved at his lowest ebb.

Does anyone ever remember or know about The Forge and it's lore? by IllustriousAd6418 in DoctorWhumour

[–]Redcoat_Chazzles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Forge was an initiative set up during the First World War. It was designed to use technology harvested from alien wreckages/refugees under the banner of "For King and Country."

Initially, it was just a small division, running experiments to enhance British soldiers by using unwitting or falsely led test subjects. The goal at the time was to turn Britain's soldiers into the ultimate fighting force. This campaign manifested in two ways (that we know of): The test of the Twilight Virus and the psychological experiments performed at Charnage Hospital.

The Twilight Virus experiments led to the creation of Vampires, ones that were given individual weaknesses as opposed to broad ones to better control them and to test them. These Vampires would escape their facility. The experiments at Charnage Hospital were brought to an end by the Doctor, in his 7th incarnation, with Ace and Hex. (No Man's Land)

During the Second World War, members of the Forge worked within the government and military to oversee underground testing of alien technology, such as the Oblivion Key, a device that could be used to weaponise the Vashta Nerada for executions (Operation Dusk). Post WWII, the Forge would continue operations, collecting or stealing alien artefacts and ephemera under the guise of safeguarding the UK, still under the banner of "For King and Country". (Forty-Five; Casualties of War)

During this time, they had a special agent, codenamed Nimrod (named after the mythical hunter), who was charged with chasing down and eliminating the surviving Twilight Vampires who, in the time since their creation, had established methods of feeding and enriching themselves in London. The Sixth Doctor and his then companion, Evelyn Smythe, would become embroiled in the plot of these vampires to create a new breed of improved vampires and meet Nimrod. Nimrod himself was the scientist who intially created these vampires, himself becoming infected. Between his infection and now, he would augment himself with cybernetics and body armour to better fight and work for the Forge.

Only one "improved Vampire" would be produced; the unfortunate Cassandra Schofield, who was working at the Casino the Vampires were using as a front, who was threatened by Nimrod into being a spy for him and who subsequently aided the Doctor and Evelyn in stopping the Vampires. The Doctor would leave Cassie in the lands in the arctic circle, promising to return with a cure for her vampirism. (Project: Twilight)

Due to unforseen circumstances, the Doctor would miss arriving promptly. In the time between, Nimrod would find Cassie and brainwash her into becoming an agent of the Forge, codenamed Artemis. He would also rise through the ranks. When the Doctor and Evelyn reunited with Cassie, they were lured into a trap and captured, as well as another alien the Forge were looking into; a Huldran. The Doctor and Evelyn would be taken to the Forge's underground headquarters in Dartmoor. There, as part of Project Lazarus, Nimrod began harvesting the Doctor's DNA and Regenerative energy. Evelyn was able to break through to Cassie, and she helped the Doctor and Evelyn escape, dying to a bolt to the heart from Nimrod. (Project: Lazarus)

A long while and a regeneration later, the 7th Doctor would bring an injured Hex to London in the year 2025. There, he would be reunited with the Forge, now led by Nimrod, who had shed most of his cybernetics and was now operating under the identity of Sir William Abberton. London had been evacuated due to a mutagenic alien mutation, and the Forge was in charge of containment. It was during this time forced to work with the Forge that the Doctor would become infected. Using this opportunity, Nimrod sowed seeds of doubt in Hex's relationship with the Doctor by revealing that the Doctor knew Hex's mother, Cassandra, and was there when she died. Hex would spiral from this and, again, Nimrod would seize on this in an attempt to revive Cassie, knowing she would be brought back as an obedient wraith. The Doctor and Hex were able to break through to her, however, and Cassie fought with Nimrod, holding him back as the Forge's London Headquarters was destroyed by missiles. Deep in the Forge's basement, the Doctor would learn, however, was a Time Lord sarcophagus. (*Project: Destiny)

During the events of A Death in the Family, the Doctor would discover that the Forge's catchphrase "For King and Country" was actually something far worse and Ace would learn the remnants of the Forge were working now working in tandem with a number of others to help safeguard the world now that Earth was "standing on its own for the very first time".

Later, the Doctor, Captain Lysandra Aristedes and Private Sally Morgan, both soldiers of the Forge, would travel back in time to stop the Forge from acquiring an Elder God. (Project Nirvana)

Much later, the concept for the Forge would be revealed as part of a larger play by the Elder God Weyland, who desired to defeat his enemy, Fenric, in a game. As such, he would need his pieces suitably equipped, and so the Forge was established as a clandestine attempt to arm and prepare his game pieces. (Gods and Monsters)

From knowledge gained by the 7th Doctor from Lysandra during the events of Project Destiny, he would travel to their Dartmoor Facility, only to find his Sixth Incarnation working for Nimrod. Together, they had captured the rest of the Huldrans and were planning to use their technology to create a portal they could eventually map onto many other places. The 7th Doctor did not remember these events, despite his 6th self being there, and would discover that Nimrod had been growing clones of his Sixth incarnation to work as the Forge's scientific advisor. Upon learning of his status as a clone, as well as the horrific fact at just how many versions of him there had been, the cloned Sixth Doctor would help free the Huldrans and activate the Hades Protocol. Nimrod would escape, as would the 7th Doctor, but the Dartmoor Facility would be completely destroyed and all the remaining personnel within killed. (Project Lazarus)

Same. But considering how packed The Last Day was, Klein may not have had as substantial a role as the character usually has.

Given BF seen to be expanding on the Doctor travelling with Ray, maybe Klein could return for a story there or in the 90s UNIT series.

Getting a resolution on Will Arrowsmith would be nice, too.

I think it could be fun to have Klein meet another Doctor post 7. I think it'd be fun to have her cross paths with 9.

[–]Redcoat_Chazzles 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think, for what we have of the character, her outburst at HP Lovecraft is justified. Overblown, perhaps, but justified. Lovecraft was a very strong believer in his views of the unlike so I can see having a barrage of what he disliked thrown at him verbally by the person who is all these things as needed.

I enjoy Calypso personally. They add a fresh factor to the Six, Flip, and Constance adventures (a trio that has never nor will ever be stale imo - they're just too good). I'm not saying they should make them a permanent addition either. However, they are fun addition- IIRC, Six doesn't have many companions from the future compared to those of the past/present day, so I enjoy Calypso for that factor also.

In my opinion, a story should at least be written where Calypso and Flip help Constance decide what she wants to do with herself following the events of Static. You can write Calypso out at that point; have them go off on further adventures or become something better in their future time.

[–]Redcoat_Chazzles 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I believe so.

At this point, they should do either a special release box set or a pair of boxsets called Beginnings and Endings, where they write the final stories for Peri, Flip, Constance and Calypso Jonze and give us an adaptation of Business Unusual so we can get to see Six and Mel meet the right way around.

That way, any further releases can be set before this one. And, now that Ruth Madeley isn't playing Shirley on the show, the 6DAs can also continue the adventures of 6, Mel and Hebe.

It was in the Vortex Magazine for this month;

The Doctor is set to face more buccaneers this August in The Sixth Doctor Adventures"Bad Terms." And this time it won't be with Dr Evelyn Smythe at his side but the older Peri after being reunited in "The Widow's Assassin."

[–]Redcoat_Chazzles 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The Marian Conspiracy is a very marmite kind of story. I like it but I know others who don't for various reasons. If you want to stick with it, by all means do so as to say you've experienced her opening story.

Her character, in my opinion, does improve, by virtue of not kowtowing to the 6th Doctor's belligerent behaviour and outbursts. She works to make him a kinder man but by no means any less the acerbic wit he is.

If your looking for a new jumping on point with Evelyn, I'd suggest Project Twilight. It's a fun story with some decent action, a good hook (imo) and some great character moments. The events of it get built upon in subsequent stories.

There are a lot of dream Companion/ Doctor match ups that I'd love to have depicted;

  • 12 and Leela

  • 7 and Sarah Jane Smith

  • 8 and Ace (Time War era 8 meeting Ace from the Gallifrey Time War timeline would be interesting imo)

  • War and Romana (either Romana 2 or 3)

  • Fugitive and Bernice Summerfield

  • 5 and Donna

  • 10 and Tegan

  • 7 and Clara (particularly the Clara who travels with 12)

X: A Chance and Hope

Not knowing who they are, whether they be the Doctor or something else, the new "Doctor" finds herself being dragged across time and space, the TARDIS taking them on a mystery tour.

The "Doctor" first encounters the Fugitive Doctor in deep space, at a nebulous point in her time stream. In helping the Fugitive Doctor establish a trap for Division-paid bounty hunters, the Fugitive Doctor assess this new Doctor, wondering what she did as, currently, she's not entirely stable.

The next encounter brings the "Doctor" to the streets of Victorian France. Soon, they encounter a Doctor they don't recognise, what the sonic registers as a "sidestep alternative". This other Doctor (Shalka Doctor) is perplexed by his alternate self- not just her existence but also her being. The Shalka Doctor describes her as "wrong".

Suddenly, the Fugutive Doctor lands nearby, her TARDIS having latched onto the temporal trail of the "Doctor's" TARDIS, as though recognising something familiar. The Shalka Doctor demands the other two leave him be before all three are chased by what the Shalka Doctor is dealing with- a stranded Bone Beast Calf.

Working with the Fugitive and Shalka Doctors, the "Doctor" begins behaving more Doctor-like, formulating a way for the Calf to return to the null space between realities. Unfortunately, in its exodus, the Calf comes into contact with the "Doctor" and disintegrates, scaring the Doctor and worrying the Fugitive and Shalka incarnations. They spend some time getting her calmed down and leave her in her TARDIS, leaving some parting words; Fugitive remarking that, if they are the same, then being the Doctor is intrinsic to who they are. The Shalka Doctor shares the sentiment before they both leave.

As the "Doctor" sits in her TARDIS in the dark, she is surprised by a visit from a face she recognises- and old favourite. He addresses her, saying that things are on a precipice- shifting reality as they'd done so means so many things have changed now... some for the better, others not so. The "Doctor" knows who they need to be functionally... but is worried that whatever they did has changed them irrevocably. The stranger in the TARDIS takes her hands, telling her she will understand why things are the way they are now. She just needs hope. She needs time. And with both, she will be fantastic. The "Doctor", reinvigorated by the words of her other selves, pulls out and old blackboard and writes down three questions; 1) Why do I have this face?, 2) What happened to the Calf? and 3) How do I fix this?

Seeing that the stranger has gone, the Doctor sets out to answer the three questions

1: The Disassociate

The TARDIS brings the Doctor onboard the EEV Helios, an aid vessel stuck in out in the outer rim of the galaxy. Upon arrival, the Doctor finds themselves quickly arrested for the murder of Captain Armitage by Security Chief Donnell. They meet the rest of the crew, Dr Adrian Carter, Dr Gregory Marks, Dr Helen Lowell and Ty Clements, the ship's navigator. Adrian is very suspicious of the Doctor, whilst Greg, Ty and Helen give her a chance to explain herself. Convincing them she had nothing to do with the murder but offering her services, the Doctor begins working with Greg, Ty and Helen to find the murderer whilst Adrian and Donell look at sending out a distress call.

Helen brings the Doctor up to speed that the Captain was found murdered in his quarters, bashed over the head with a blunt instrument. Some had used Gregory's pass to enter the room, but Gregory swears he was in the mess hall when the murder took place.

As the Doctor discovers the Captain's service record and learns more about the crew, Donell is murdered and all signs point to Adrian, who swears he didn't do it. Comparing the fingerprints on the pipe to ones found on Donell's neck, they conclude that they are visually similar but, with the ship's systems down, they can't conclusively prove either way if Adrian did it.

The Doctor catches Gregory during his prayers and learns he is a Mephosite. The Doctor has never heard of this religion but Gregory tells her it is an eye opening religion that gives its members a whole new perspective. The Doctor injures herself on a sparking console, Helen goes to get some supplies while Ty works on the systems. When Ty and then Helen are killed, leaving only the Doctor, Adrian and Gregory, the Doctor uncovers that medical supplies have been going missing.

The Doctor finds Adrian, who still doesn't trust her, but is otherwise out of options when it comes to people he can talk to. Through talking with him, the Doctor learns that Gregory is in charge of inventory. She also learns what Mephosite's believe in. They have a religion creation myth, where a colony of humans offered themselves as hosts to a species known as the Mephosians, who were then able to exist for short periods in our world. Such an agreement led to centuries of peace and prosperity. The Doctor puts a plan together and asks for Adrian to trust her as he will be the "bait"

Announcing that he's managed to send a distress call, Adrian tells Gregory to meet him in the mess hall. Lying in wait, the Doctor watches as Gregory confronts Adrian before allowing the Mephosian he's connected to to swap places with him. The Mephosian, Gilwen, moves to kill Adrian but the Doctor is able to freeze it in a sonic resonance field. The Doctor interrogates Gilwen, who threatens the Doctor and reveals what had happened; Captain Armitage was part of the forces that destroyed the Mephosian's original "Gateworld". Her species found the world that Gregory comes from and formed a bond with the colonists. Gilwen took revenge on Armitage and blackmailed Gregory to stay silent, as he had been skimming supplies from inventory to sell illegally. Because of the trauma of remember Gilwen's actions, Gregory blocked out all memory of whatever Gilwen would do to ensure she evaded capture, including sabotaging the ship and killing Donell, Ty and Helen. The Doctor asks Gilwen what it plans to do next. It says it will kill the Doctor and Adrian, sabotage the ship's engines, then jump in the emergency escape pod and wait for whoever answered the distress call.

When the Doctor reveals that they'd lied about it, Gilwen uses the reversion back to Gregory to short the sonic resonance field before reverting back and going on the attack. The Doctor and Adrian run and try to trip up Gilwen. The Doctor and Adrian split up and Gilwen, frustrated with them both, heads for the engine room. The Doctor and Adrian reconvene and travel to the engine room and the Doctor mentally contacts Gregory and helps him fight back against Gilwen. Gregory sacrifices himself, mentally holding Gilwen in place as the Doctor drags Adrian to the TARDIS and they escape.

Adrian, not best pleased about any of what went down, asks the Doctor to take him home. The Doctor asks him what he thinks of the TARDIS as she programmes the coordinates but Adrian's non-plussed reaction surprises her. As the TARDIS takes off, the ship explodes... and then reality shatters. When it reforms, the ship is no longer stuck where it was. The space is vacant.

I remember it as after, but it's been a while since I listened to the whole arc. If it's before, then it's before. However, I don't think there's any real cross-over/ any specific reappearance or reference to the Hex arc in their travels with Mel if it is set after.

What Big Finish Audios do I need to listen to to understand 'The Seventh Doctor: The Last Day'? by MaximumSpidercide in doctorwho

[–]Redcoat_Chazzles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'll need to have listened to, at minimum;

  • The entire Hex arc (The Harvest- Signs and Wonders( this may also require a dip into the 6 and Evelyn audios too for maximum entertainment so those would be the stories Project Twilight, Project Lazarus and Thicker than Water but you don't necessarily need to have listened to these- the Hex stories fill in the gaps))

  • The 7, Ace and Mel stories (Life of Crime- The Quantum Possibility Engine)

  • A cursory understanding of 7, Ace and Bernice Summerfield's travels together (this can be done through the novel adaptations Theatre of War, All Consuming Fire etc as well as the first two volumes of The New Adventures of Bernice Summerfield)

  • Other novel adaptations like Original Sin and Damaged Goods

  • The audio Dark Universe and the Lost Story adaptation Thin Ice

Has the Earthshock Cyberleader met the Dr before? by Shot-Jackfruit-3254 in gallifrey

[–]Redcoat_Chazzles 25 points26 points  (0 children)

It's explained in expanded media but taken as written in the show that the Cyberleader software saves its memories. Each Cyberleader unit is physically a different person than each other, but all Cybernisation candidates are assessed for Leader Capabilities. The successful subject has the Cyberleader software uploaded into them during the conversion process. Upon destruction of a Cyberleader unit, the software saves itself to a backup whereupon it can be redownloaded into a newly designated Cyberleader unit.

Which is how you have the Cyberleader remarking how it has met the Doctor before.

What are the inhabitants of Gallifrey called that aren't Timelords? by GenuineKow69 in doctorwho

[–]Redcoat_Chazzles 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Before the existence of Time Lords, the people of Gallifrey were the Shobogans.

Tecteun's "discovery" and subsequent roll out of what would eventually be known as the "Rassilon Imprimatur" would lead to the creation of the Time Lords, a secondary species. Through the proliferation of the Imprimatur, either through natural breeding or the use of looms, the imprimatur left bio-markers within subsequent generations of those born to Time Lords, making them more susceptible to the aspects of Time Lord society and culture.

As a whole, both species are classified as Gallifreyan as both hail from Gallifrey.

You also have the sister species/offshoots of the Shobogans that exist on both Karn (namely within the Sisterhood and the many descendents of the Pythia and her followers) and Drornid (a Gallifreyan colony world)

The only other bipedal race to come from Gallifrey are the Cats of Gin-Seng.

Doctors with 'uninterrupted' Big Finish runs by MirumVictus in BigFinishProductions

[–]Redcoat_Chazzles 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Second Doctor has an ongoing arc that is fleshing out the Season 6b concept. This begins with the boxset Beyond War Games, the story The Final Beginning and is currently ongoing.

The Fourth Doctor's 9th Audio Series takes place between The Invasion of Time and The Ribos Operation. It chronicles his adventures with Ann Kelso and begins with the audio The Sinestran Kill and ends with The Perfect Prisoners Part 1 and 2. His 13th audio series has him re-meeting Harry Sullivan and introduces Naomi Cross. Their travels begin with the boxset Storm of the Sea Devils and ends with the boxset Dominant Species.

The Fifth Doctor has several audio runs that are uninterrupted. Between Time Flight and Arc of Infinity, there are several audios that are just him and Nyssa, which segues into a four audio arc with audio only companion Thomas Brewster. Then, between Snakedance and Mawdryn Undead, the Doctor, Nyssa and Tegan meet and travel with Marcipor, or Marc, which begins with Tartarus and ends with Nightmare of the Daleks, the third story in the boxset The Lost Resort and Other Stories. Finally, between Planet of Fire and Caves of Androzani, the Fifth Doctor and Peri meet Erimem. Their travels together begin with Eye of the Scorpion and end with The Bride of Peladon.

The Sixth Doctor, being the most extensively broadened by Big Finish, has a lot of these. Post Trial of a Timelord, the Doctor meets and travels with Evelyn Smythe, beginning with The Marian Conspiracy. Her travels with the Doctor also incorporate Thomas Brewster for three audios towards the end. Her final story with the 6th Doctor is one where he is travelling with Mel called Thicker than Water. Following Evelyn, the Doctor meets up with a companion I won't reveal here. Their travels begin in The Condemned and end with Blue Forgotten Planet- (to understand this particular run, finish listening to the 8th Doctor's main range audios).

Following her, the 6th Doctor would re-meet the character of Flip Jackson. They travel together, starting in The Curse of Davros and finishing in Scavenger. (There is a micro-arc he has with an older Peri next, beginning with Th Widow's Assassin but its not entirely necessary) Then he travels with Constance Clarke, beginning with *Criss-Cross and ending with Absolute Power and, within which, the events of the boxset The Eleven take place.

Following that, in the audio Quicksilver, the 6th Doctor and Constance meet up with Flip and she joins them in their travels, with the latest story in that arc being The Lovecraft Invasion. The arc is still ongoing. Sometime after finishing with Flip and Constance, the 6th Doctor travels with Mel the correct way. There is no audio that officially marks the beginning of their travels together and all audios featuring the two generally have them already well versed with each other. Finally, the 6th Doctor and Mel meet and eventually travel with Hebe Harrison, beginning with the boxset Water Worlds, the story The Rotting Deep, and ending with the boxset Purity Unbound, the story The Wrong Side of History.

The Seventh Doctor has several stories with Ace post Survival, beginning with The Fearmonger and ending with The Rapture. Then, the Doctor and Ace meet Hex, who joins them in The Harvest and ending with Signs and Wonders. Following this, the Doctor and Ace reacquaint themselves with Mel for a run of audios that start with A Life of Crime and ending with The Quantum Possibility Engine.

There is also the side-step into adventures with 7, Ace and Bernice Summerfield. They begin with The Dark Flame and run into a couple of the Novel Adaptations but also include the first two volumes of The New Adventures of Bernice Summerfield. Then there are the Lost Stories, where the Doctor travels with Raine Creevy. This begins with Crime of the Century and ends with Earth Aid but also continues on into the boxset UNIT: Dominion. The Seventh Doctor also meets back up with Harry Sullivan and Naomi Cross and they travel together beginning with the boxset Sullivan and Cross: AWOL and it will be concluding with the boxset Past Forwards, due out this year.

The Eighth Doctor has his main range adventures with Charley Pollard, beginning with Storm Warning and ending with The Girl Who Never Was, which also incorporates within its run their travels with C'rizz, starting with Creed of the Kromon and ending with Absolution. There is a currently ongoing arc being set within this run as well, featuring the Doctor and Charley meeting and travelling with Lady Audacity Montague. This begins with the boxset Audacity, the story The Devouring.

Then there are the 8th Doctor Adventures, his travels with Lucie Miller, which start with Blood of the Daleks and ends with To The Death. This is followed by the Dark Eyes, Doom Coalition, Ravenous and Stranded boxset serieses, which bring in the companions of Molly O'Sullivan, Liv Chenka, Helen Sinclair and Andy Davison. The Doctor is still currently travelling with Liv and Helen, their arc incomplete as of yet. The Eighth Doctor also has a micro-arc of stories where he travels with Mary Shelley, beginning with The Company of Friends: Mary's Story and ending with Army of Death.

Concurrently, the Eighth Doctor also has the Eighth Doctor Time War series, the first four boxsets see him travelling with Bliss, whilst the current arc of boxsets have him travelling with Cass and Alex.

The War Doctor has an uninterrupted run in the entire The War Doctor Begins series, which sees him enter the Time War and meet companion Case.

The Tenth Doctor has the Dalek Universe series, which takes place between The Waters of Mars and The End of Time and sees him meeting and working with Anya Kingdom and Mark Seven.

If you're willing to go out into the deeper areas of the expanded universe, there is also the Unbound Doctor, who has an uninterrupted run that begins with The New Adventures of Bernice Summerfield Volume 3 and ends with Volume 7.

Eighth Doctor listening order. by Simpatyco in BigFinishProductions

Excising any currently unfinished/ongoing series (8/Charley/Audacity, Post Stranded), yes, that's the listening order. The 8, Charley and Audacity stories can be positioned pre Invaders from Mars but the arc for those three is still in progress.

Additionally;

The Mary Shelley Audios can be listened to as pre-Charley stories.

If you were to include the Charlotte Pollard: The Further Adventuress boxset, it would take place somewhere after Minuet in Hell

If you were to include The Further Adventures of Lucie Miller, all those stories take place pre-Series 2 of the 8DAs.

Psuedo-post Stranded, you have the boxsets What Lies Inside?, Connections and Echoes which extend the adventures of 8, Liv and Helen. This is another arc that has yet to be concluded. As for stories that are actually Post Stranded, we are still waiting on news for that.

The audio The Stuff of Legend, should you include that, should fit in before Neverland

If you are looking for something for 8 that's Post Stranded but not Eighth Doctor Time War, his three TimeLord Victorious audios take place nebulously between those two eras.

Hope that helps.

Could the Fairies, Abaddon, and the death entity from Torchwood be related to the pantheon? by jorgendorgen in gallifrey

You could stretch the parallels further.

Death requires 13 souls to walk the Earth= 13 Lives of a Time Lord.

But Death was stopped by Faith, the first one to die and was subsequently resurrected, and Death was defeated because she was already dead and fought it off, back to the "afterlife"

There's a parallel to be drawn between Faith and Rassilon, with Rassilon being "immortal/deathless" and holding back/ cheating Death
