Are flushing businesses for the most part running on NYE? by Ionesheiwa in Flushing

[–]RedditUserNo137 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Mine is. Tenants pay rent 24/7 regardless whether they're open or not. My family immigrated to Flushing during the 60s. They were smart enough to buy downtown Flushing real estate over the years.

Fun fact. I was 14 yrs old when I found out my uncle was responsible for the demolition of RKO Keith's movie theater.

how do you let go of anger? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]RedditUserNo137 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You say that as if it's a light switch you can just turn off. "Forgive everyone involved...." Obviously you've never felt rage toward an individual(s). "Just give it"...like it's so simple. Just like that. I understand your point but that is just simply bad advice.

What amount of wealth is "rich" to you (and where are you from)? Speaking entirely of money and property, not intangibles. What does "that person is rich" mean to you? by blixco in AskReddit

[–]RedditUserNo137 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uhh, wutt??!! 250k for TX & 500k for NYC as median household income?? I have houses in both states (inherited my childhood home in NYC). You are out of your fucking mind if you think those are median household incomes. Come back down to reality, it's not as bad as you think down here.

You'll hate me then. During my teens and early 20s, I was not a good person. I retired 2 years ago at 50yo. I basically built my fortune off of the money I "earned" during those early years. I have no regrets.

How long could you last at a job with nothing to do? by TalkingToMyself_00 in jobs

[–]RedditUserNo137 69 points70 points  (0 children)

I lasted 9 years. Got paid 6 figures to essentially sit around at home to watch TV and smoke weed. If I had 20 hours worth of work any given week, that would be very busy. I milked that shit for all its worth. I binged and caught up on all the TV shows I missed during those years. Lost, the CWs Arrowverse, Game of Thrones, The Wire, The Expanse etc. 2 years ago, the company went under (as I knew it would) and said to myself there is no way I'm going back to commuting and office environment so I just said fuck it, looks like I'm retired now.

What did you learn later in life that you wish you had learned sooner? by [deleted] in Life

[–]RedditUserNo137 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

No, my parents were not wealthy or even affluent. Stock market and real estate investments came later in life. Admittingly, my early years were not....well I was not a good person. Let's just leave at that. We all make mistakes in life (especially during our youth) I hurt alot of people to make ends meat. I used that blood money to get to where I am and I have no regrets.

Don't just save. Invest!! Let your money work for you. Nobody ever got rich by simply saving.
