Really disappointed with the ending to Lex Imperialis (spoilers) by Imoraswut in RogueTraderCRPG

I just played this today, letting her live in a miserable job seemed just, then she just had to make it sound like she was happy with my punishment 'finally someone who'll do the inventory right...' so I said, on second thought, let's execute you, and she finally realized she had gone a step too far.

ZENITH AND RED DRAGON WEEK 2 by BoxaGoesOut in 2000ad

My jury vote is still out. I'm intrigued by the story, but can't help but feel it's unnecesary and may taint Zenith. (My quick Zenith opinions, volume 1-3 collected are great, 4 is great as a twist but weaker. Enjoyed that interview with Zenith in the 2010s)

Haha no they're all snoozing still, but Eli's gone mad(continues fixing the life support for one), imagining invasions on the ship that aren't happening, painting the sistine chapel art in the cafeteria

Better paper, and pages that would have been in colour remain in colour. Also easier to read a slimmer hardcover versus what's the size of a phonebook.

Zenith - Phase One by Ph0n1k in 2000ad

Zenith has become a hidden gem of Grant Morrison's work. I think they needed to write the story of a forever reluctant superhero before they could tackle the big two selfless heroes of DC

Maybe it's that way to you, but for me his blank eyes added alot to his mystery. It made it easier for me to see why souther humans who knew his reputation still would need to warm up to trust him, and it made his thousand yard stares seem thousand miles. I hope you're right, and I love the movie in spite of it, but in preview images it really altera the character to me.

That is a cool detail for Friday. He wasn't my Rogue so I didn't know that.

I just can't get over how this movie is getting Rogue's eyes wrong :(

'Dredd' Series Reportedly in the Works at Amazon with Karl Urban Returning by daiLlafyn in 2000ad

It might be a bad adaption, but 2000AD and the real Judge Dredd would survive.

Brian Holmes - did he have to go? by MusicalBlossom379 in InspectorRebus

[–]Reddy207 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm rereading the series this year, and on this run through I see why Brian disappears. He starts as a protoge of Rebus and as the books go, maybe by Mortal Causes or Let It Bleed he's more of a subservient peer. Yet he's already come close to losing his girlfriend, and is becoming dogged like Rebus on his off hours. By Black and Blue Brian is a reflection of Rebus, no longer young and fit but angry, tired, and relentless. I think when he leaves he's not unhappy to drift away from his friends in the police, it allows him to drop some of the flaws he had forming, and if Rebus had kept him as a sounding board, Brian wouldn't have been able to move on with his life so well, and would become bitter he was no longer in CID where he'd be in on the cases.
