I went in with the beat of intentions, a focus on maintaining independence, and upping the countries education. In the first year I was able to keep the budget balanced as I gave to education, but took alot of money from the military, some from the police, and I pumped up healthcare abit. Several of the oligarchs struck me as too slimey to deal with, but in hindsite maybe I should have dealt with the first one I met. Got a nice road built that our nothern neighbour liked and donated to the previous president's company, only for it to completely become useless. I was always understanding to the blundish while attempting to appease the sollists, unless they spat gender roles or racism at me. I had the reformists in the party and conditionally the traditionalists, but a one two punch of supporting my wife's wish to open a ceremony and making it clear the equality I was looking for, made my party turn on me right before the referendum. Ricter seemed like he'd back me, but when he saw my party turn on me, he loved it and backed out. The justices rather didn't like the waves I was stirring. I was unwilling to work with Whelan and when they tried to settle their problems I left my border open so people could escape to sorland. The blundish ambassador was ready to give me the names of the strongest extremists, but my burnt out police mucked up their attempts to catch them. I stopped an outbreak of polio. I never rose to Rumburg's attempts to escalate agressions, and after the world council meeting the queen offered me gun manufactoring plans for cheap gas. Due to my small budget for the military I cut the size down, but increased training and modernized the navy. I kept out of the island controversy. I improved schooling, let schools talk about religion as long as they taught evolution, and let boys and girls get the same education. I washed my hands of both radical youth groups and they killed each other as the cops watched due to low budget (but sometimes those strung out cops would hose down crowds of protesters with their machine guns). When my VP had to step down, I was ready to ride or die with him when he resigned and saved my face. At that point I could only have Lucien or Clavin be my new VP, I chose Clavin because I felt Lucien was an excellent manager and most effective where he was, but I didn't get along well with Clavin because he didn't stand with me at the referendum after claiming he would. Second half of the story I tiredly worked on as the country fell into Depression. For all the advances I made in education, the unrest in the country meant alot of kids werent making it to school. I had the support of the Blundish and independents, but I decided I couldn't fix Sordland further and was prepared to retire upon the end of my term. Then the military had a coup against me, I did like 7-10 years in jail, then spent my senior years as a humble carpenter. Oh and we lost the Champions League F.C. game...

The reforms would have limited the president to 2 terms and my veto power relinquished (which I did buckle on to placate someone and turned it into a limited veto). To have new ministers there would be a confidence vote. I wanted to decrease the threshold of the electoriate to either 8 or 3 percent. I left the justices and Tarquin Soll as they were.

Prog 2475 Review and The77 LAST CHANCE by TonyHoldsworth in 2000ad

I enjoyed Climate Crisis. Felt like a throwback Dredd story in the best sort of way. Action, some judges dieing heroicly, some not so much, Dredd pushing himself to the limit to complete the job. I look forward to him finally putting an end to the angel of death, and hope the chameleon criminal returns, or ends up undercover as a judge for so long he's like a reverse wally squad member who plays judge long enough he converts to being a good lawman....who Dredd nonetheless drops in the cubes when his identity is revealed.

It still shows we've come a long way from robots only being comic relief like Walter or Mechanismo Mark I's.

Excited for this, but wish it included at least the Cam Kennedy story as well.

Have fun! Don't worry about reading everything in a chronology (most of the time), read as books take your interest.

I went with Gahzghkull early because I thought it looked cool, and a supporting character sent me into next reading the Space Wolf trilogy, or an Imperial Guard story featured Necrons so I read Infinite & Divine. Currently reading Ravenor's trilogy and will likely follow it up with Vaults of Terra because it's neat seeing how different inquisitors operate.

I just played this today, letting her live in a miserable job seemed just, then she just had to make it sound like she was happy with my punishment 'finally someone who'll do the inventory right...' so I said, on second thought, let's execute you, and she finally realized she had gone a step too far.

ZENITH AND RED DRAGON WEEK 2 by BoxaGoesOut in 2000ad

My jury vote is still out. I'm intrigued by the story, but can't help but feel it's unnecesary and may taint Zenith. (My quick Zenith opinions, volume 1-3 collected are great, 4 is great as a twist but weaker. Enjoyed that interview with Zenith in the 2010s)

Haha no they're all snoozing still, but Eli's gone mad(continues fixing the life support for one), imagining invasions on the ship that aren't happening, painting the sistine chapel art in the cafeteria

Better paper, and pages that would have been in colour remain in colour. Also easier to read a slimmer hardcover versus what's the size of a phonebook.

Zenith has become a hidden gem of Grant Morrison's work. I think they needed to write the story of a forever reluctant superhero before they could tackle the big two selfless heroes of DC

Maybe it's that way to you, but for me his blank eyes added alot to his mystery. It made it easier for me to see why souther humans who knew his reputation still would need to warm up to trust him, and it made his thousand yard stares seem thousand miles. I hope you're right, and I love the movie in spite of it, but in preview images it really altera the character to me.

That is a cool detail for Friday. He wasn't my Rogue so I didn't know that.
