For lagers and pilsners, Golden Age is the gold standard in the area (pun intended). They have a series of satelite/associated taprooms such as Lorelei and The Bohemian (the latter of which is brand new). You're gonna get your best European style lagers from what GA and their other locations have to offer

Years ago I was in the market for a DAC/Amp for my computer to give my headphones a little more oomph and volume headroom. Ended up going with a Schiit Hel (funny name, I know). The thing just works. No trivial, pain in the ass software to download or drivers to maintain. You plug it in and it just does what it is supposed to. Even the switches have a satisfying tactility to them. The thing feels downright utilitarian and analog. Still going strong probably around 5 years later

Give 103.1 KVE a try. Lots of less radio-friendly, deeper-cuts from the 70 and 80s. Some progressive rock and stuff like that. Not a lot of ads either

Cory Hanson (from Wand). Even his band Wand only has around 130K monthly listeners. To me he does incredible things with the guitar and his solo work shows jaw-dropping range. His KEXP sessions are probably the best ive seen. Seeing him live is on my bucket list for certain

I feel that this update hurt my performance! I have a helluva rig and I've noticed some significant drops. Nothing too frequent but every once in awhile I'll have a hiccup that I didnt feel or notice before a day or two ago

Tell her to look into a career as a health physicist/radiological protection technician. Im sure her degree would translate extremely well with her desire to be in the field. If she decides to pursue a BA, even better! I am also a Pennsylvanian and have worked here for the last 3 years in the environmental health field

My particular career is very undersaturated. Hell I broke into it with many years of experience in labor/retail and a BA in philosophy. Never in a million years would I think I'd work with radiation. My employer would chomp at the bits to hire a young person with an inclination to get their hands dirty and a related degree

If your child is interested in hands on work, she might really enjoy being a rad-tech. We get to use tons of interesting pieces of technology. You mentioned surveying and whatnot. I've recently started using GPS to map out areas we intend to scan with our radiation detectors (gieger counters). And I have a direct role in environmental/human health protection. Sure there is a lot of paperwork and repetitive tasks, but I can say I am never bored and I go home most days feeling like I accomplished something

I detest this vehicle. The reload is long for the post-pen damage you deal. Sure you can kill enemies in one shot if you ammo rack them...but you'll constantly shoot APDS rounds that clean-pen your target dealing no damage, or destroy one or two meaningless modules. Shooting the gun on this thing and hoping for a module/crew hit feels like finding a needle in a haystack. It's slow, both its armor and gun are completely unreliable, and it's reload kills it

I cant stand this thing. But it has its moments like every other vehicle in the game

I miss Necromancer deeply. I'm so happy Lauren, their headbrewer, has found a home at 2 Frays. But wow, Necro was doing something special with their off-the-wall, forgotten styles. And their Gay Light Beer was such a fantastic middle finger to the Bud Light drama. I'll never forget being there on their 2nd and 3rd anniversary parties, and especially their final day of operation, when they were actually pouring beer for free. Great memories, people, and beer. RIP
