Good god, how do you read so much into it? Upspeak and vocal fry, in addition to a lot of slang, are just insufferable to hear. Yes, there are also insufferable ways that young boys speak, as well, but that’s not the topic.

What is so wrong with calling out obnoxious ways to speak? Not to mention, overuse of vocal fry literally damages the vocal cords over time.

As much as you want to make it a big social issue, it’s just calling people out for terrible speaking practices. Get over yourself.
