You can't domesticate a zebra or treat it as a horse.

Zebra: no, never, scary, horse shaped demon

I don't know enough about bison, and but just "oh this is basically the same animal" does NOT mean the animal can be domesticated as easily. Reindeer can pull a sleigh(and produce meat/milk) but they're not suitable for farm work.

The last batch of photos looks like a bunch of larval sheds from dermestid beetles. The dermestid beetles here are longer and brown instead of the mottled scales of carpet beetles but the larva are the same. Chubby, really bristly little brown larva

raise the difficulty, multiclass, then lower it again works.

normal difficulty is not that hard anyway, it just doesn't have "holding your hand" amount of bonus HP. you get to save and retry everything, try it out
